NOTD: Essie "Lapis of Luxury"

Today's NOTD is another polish from the Essie Resort collection, and it is a pretty light blue named "Lapis of Luxury". I feel like Essie custom made this blue for me, because this is the first light blue shade that I have ever felt is flattering on my nails. I think because it has a slight purple tint to it... not enough to make it a periwinkle, but enough to make it periwinkle's cousin. The consistency on this shade was a little thinner than the other Resort polishes I've tried; it took 3 coats to really make my nails opaque.

NOTD: Essie "Splash of Grenadine"

Today's Nail of the Day is Essie's "Splash of Grenadine", which is a perfect fuchsia color for summer. I have been searching for a color like this for a while: a pink/purple, medium tone that wasn't dull. This one manages to be light and bright looking, without being an outrageous neon shade or something. This is from the Essie Resort collection, which is currently in stores, and the entire collection looks fantastic (pictured below)!

NOTD: OPI "Lucky Lucky Lavender"

Today's nail of the day is OPI's "Lucky Lucky Lavender", released earlier this year with the Hong Kong collection (still available!). This is one of those chameleon polishes that depending on what light you are looking at it in, you may think it is either pink or purple. It is a true lavender color.

I wore this on both my fingers and toes to an exam I didn't really study for last semester and I got a 96 percent on it, so I think it really is a lucky lavender color!
