Dior Misty Mauve 5-Color Eyeshadow: Review & Swatches

When I was down at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a couple of weeks ago, I passed by the Dior counter. Usually, I don't pay any attention to Dior products because of the price tag, but this beauty caught my eye and begged me to take it home. What can I say? I love taking in strays.

This quint (as opposed to quad) is named Misty Mauve, and is part of Dior's Fall 2010 lineup. It retails for $58, and can be purchased through most high end department stores.

I'm certain that Christian Dior was thinking of me when this palette was created, because it is a perfect concoction of taupe and plum colors... my favorite! And while it doesn't look like it in the photo, the very middle shadow has quite a purple tone to it.

As expected, these shadows are very pigmented and smooth. I plan on using this palette for when I want a nice, evening look. I think it will be perfect for fall and winter.

Swatch order: left to right, top to bottom

Until next time,

  1. Dior shadows are AMAZING. I have a palette like this and I used it every day for at least 6 months and never even hit pan. They are so pigmented and ahhh just wonderful.
