You get 4 grams of each shade in this compact and it retails for $3. I think this is an exceptional price for the amount (and quality) of product you are getting.
While I don't own NARS Orgasm blush, I am familiar with it, and I wouldn't say the blush shade is an exact dupe. The E.L.F. blush seems a little lighter and a little less pink to me. My opinion is similar for the bronzer: very similar, but still a tiny bit different. I felt like the bronzer had a hint more of a yellow/orange tone to it, which shouldn't matter much unless you apply gobs of it, which will then make it look muddy.
The pigmentation on these is fantastic, and I think these shades would be most suitable for light to medium skin tones.
You can purchase this product at E.L.F. Online!
Has anyone used this and the NARS duo? I would love to hear thoughts from someone who has firsthand used and compared both!
xx, Allison
Wow, I'd love to try this! I have the NARS duo, so maybe I should order this so I can compare =) Honestly, the NARS duo wasn't really everything that all the hype had promised, so I bet I'd like the Elf version better since it looks like its nice AND cheap!

i have the elf duo, and i find the bronzer wayy to dark for my skin tone! the blush is beautiful though :)
ReplyDeleteHow on earth did you apply this? I have never used bronzer before and am thinking it may be too dark for my skin or maybe I just have no idea how to apply it right? It always leaves my face looking "muddy."
ReplyDeleteI have this and have to use a VERY light hand with the bronzer as I'm fair skinned. I find if I just tap my brush on it, then tap it onto a papertowel or tissue, not too much goes on and I don't look horrible.
ReplyDeleteI ordered this a week or so ago. I'm curious if your and mine opinion match! ^^
ReplyDeletePLease check out my blog! :) I really appreciate it!!!

Love the blush. It's a perfect peach color for spring :)

I have the Nars and elf and the elf blush is darker and more peach than orgasm. The bronzer in the elf is darker than laguna. Both products are more powdery than the Nars.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the blush is not as pink as Orgasm. Beautiful, regardless <3
ReplyDeleteI've got this! I love the blush.. I'm not really sure about the bronzer, but the quality is amazing for the prize!

This is one of my favorite items from ELF and I use it every day without fail. My natural skin tone is warm, and will vary from pale to medium/dark obviously depending on my tan and no matter what color I am, this is the perfect contouring bronzer. It's compeltely flat, and never looks muddy even when I layer it on. I have a problem with most brozners (even Nars Laguna!) being a little too red colored, almost like clay. This one is perfect! So any warm toned girls out there, this is a great buy.
ReplyDeleteI also love the blush.. I definitely wouldn't say its an Orgasm dupe. Their Candid Coral blush is though. I don't use this one all the time as it does have shimmer in it, but in the evenings or when I'm wearing simple makeup its a great way to kick it up a bit.
Hey Allison!! I'd just like to say how much I love your blog and Youtube!!! You are sooo helpful and even though you love Mac, you still do drugstore :)

How do do you take your photos? They always look so nice, do you use a light box or just poster paper or something?
ReplyDeleteI don't really know why, but I don't like the shade of that bronzer, it looks a bit odd to me
ReplyDeleteI just purchased this ELF duo the other day and I love the color of the blush, very nice pink shade. I heard about this being compared to NARS Orgasm and while I would love to get the NARS, I cant justify spending 27.00 on a blush right now. I am surprisingly happy with the few things I purchased from ELF, so cheap but very good quality!
ReplyDeleteI have this duo...and while I love the blush, the bronzer ends up making me look muddy (it's possible I'm not using it right)...
