Nail of the Day: OPI Katy Perry "Last Friday Night"

Today's Nail of the Day is another polish from OPI's new Katy Perry collection, called Last Friday Night. This is certainly the most deceiving polish from this release, because in the bottle it looks like a bright blue glitter, but painted here (with 3 coats), it is more of a pastel periwinkle blue shade. I personally prefer the way it looks painted to what the bottle looks like; I don't usually prefer bright blue on my nails. However, if you did want it to look brighter, you could certainly layer this over something like OPI Dating A Royal to get a more blue effect.

Overall, I really like this polish. It isn't everyday you see a chunky, flaky glitter of this color! Do you like glitter in your nail polish?

    i think i'd wear it as a top coat, but its too sheer for me on its own. i have a sally hansen nail polish that looks exactly like this, so i probably wouldn't purchase this one.

  3. I hate all glitter polish. With the time it takes to remove it I just refuse to put it on my nails. It looks so fun though. Love these posts.

  4. I simply adore glitter nailpolish (not on painted on all fingers though)!
    When I saw this nailpolish at Ulta I got so excited, but when I swatched it I was really disappointed! I would like this nailpolish to like the bottle :(

  6. i'm not nuts about glittery polish but this is interesting. on bare nails, it comes off purple-y but in the bottle it's so blue!

  7. i was a bit disappointed when it didnt end up being the bright blue glitter it appears to be. i dont like bright blues on my nails much either but i thought this one would be so pretty bright blue. definitely still a nice color. i layered it over fiercely fiona and it looks awesome!

    Yeahh I love glitters too, but it's really hard to remove..
    I think it should be prettier if you use a base under the glitters like sky blue. You should try it!!
