The palette includes a nice range of colors and two different finishes (metallic and creme). I like that it includes your basic colors (red, green, blue, yellow), as well as some not-so-basic colors (peach, turquoise, pink, etc.). And the fact that the palette includes both a white and a black means you can darken or lighten any shade to your satisfaction.
All of these colors are safe to use on the cheeks and lips, and all but three are safe for use on the eyes. The red based shades (pink, peach, red) are not safe for the eye area. I've never been sure why this is, but perhaps the red dye is more staining? Now for swatches!
This palette retails for $95 and can be found at Sephora online. What are your thoughts on this product?

those colors look amazing!
ReplyDeleteThe red and blue don't look very pigmented, but the others look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely amazing!!! I just don't think I can justify spending $95 on it :( this post made me want it even more!
ReplyDeleteI think I am just going to buy 12 nyx jumbo eyeshadow pensils in the same shades and depot them into a similar container. :)
ReplyDeleteWow this looks amazing! I can't wait to see what you can do with them! You come up with the most cool and creative looks!
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning. I want this!
ReplyDeleteWow! I never expected the swatches to turn out that way! It's really amazing...thanks for swatch..
ReplyDeleteI think some red dyes can cause irritation when used on some people's eye area.
ReplyDeleteugh i need this!
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious to see you use this... Please use it in a tutorial :D You make some of the best beauty vids on youtube!!
ReplyDeleteI would never buy this esp for the price but it looks great for makeup artists
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see some looks with this....and how the colors can be mixed.

tutorial !!
ReplyDeleteTheoretically, you are only paying a little less than $8.00 a color, however, I wouldn't use half of those colors and I'm not into paying for something I'm going to have to mix up myself - even if it is only $8.00. Overall, not a fan.
ReplyDeleteI would never pay 95 dollars for this stuff. There are a lot of cheaper palettes with more wearable colors. I am sure, one of the cheaper brands will make a dupe. Half of that price you pay just for the name.
ReplyDeleteI want this sooo much!
ReplyDeleteBut I could definitely get it cheaper if I'm honest. You see these kinda paint pallet things in drug stores (:
Maybe there not as good, I dunno but they are waaaay too expensive for me!

you probably could find a cheaper version, but i don't think the quality would come close.. with this you barely have to use any at all, and the pigmentation is brilliant.. i love mine and i think it's worth the price. :)
ReplyDeleteI spent the money... but I don't have the heart to use it yet. It's too pretty to use...
