MAC Semi Precious Collection: Mineralize Skinfinishes

MAC launched their new Semi Precious collection this week, making it this year's mineralize product launch. Every summer, MAC seems to launch a mineralize collection, and this year's included eyeshadows, blushes, brushes, and mineralize skinfinishes (among other things). I'm a huge MSF junkie, so whenever some limited ones are released I usually get sucked in. This collection was no exception.


There were four MSF's in this collection total, and I purchased three of them. These are unique because they have consist of two colors: an outer ring and a gemstone looking design in the middle. This is nice because you get three shades in each MSF (outer, inner, mixed).


Semi Precious Rose Quartz is a warm pink outer ring with a golden center.

Semi Precious Crystal Pink is an icy pink outer ring with a bronzy pink center. I felt like this one looked way better on my skin than I could ever imagine it being in the pan. If you go by this one, swatch it. You might be surprised!

Semi Precious Goldstone is a bronzy outer ring with a golden-peach inner ring. I was surprised at how much I liked this one on my skin, considering I usually stay far away from any kind of frosty bronze.

  3. LOVELY! I'm not a fan of mineralized products but these are the best swatches I've seen. I've been contemplating if I should pick up something from this collection because I've seen reviews on the eyeshadows..I'm definetely going to get the MSF's now lol

  5. I love the way these look in the pan but from your swatches I think I would only pick up the Rose Quartz one :( I'm not sure that I could get much use out of super shimmery bronzes.. maybe as an eyeshadow :P Thanks for the swatches and the heads up!!

  9. Rose Quartz is so pretty!Since MAC is more expensive here,I think Essence's Colourmania blush is a great dupe for it,if you're wondering getting a cheaper alternaive.I previously mentioned that on my blog.
    The lipstick is gorgeous,I love wearing rosy colours on my lips.

  19. So far I got a mineralize skinfinish in Pearl, an eye shadow dalled Mineral Mode and a lipstick which is called Gem of Roses. I love this collection!
    It's gorgeous!
