I would describe Stunner as a warm, glowing pink with a hint of peach to it. It has a Satin finish, so it appears fairly matte on the skin without looking chalky or dry. To me, this color is the epitome of an everyday blush.
The pigmentation on this is excellent for a blush: well pigmented but not so pigmented that you have to be overly cautious when swirling your brush in it. It blends nicely and I really think that this would flatter anyone with a light to medium skintone. In the photo below, I used a fairly heavy hand to swatch it so you could see the color well. However, it can easily be worn more lightly than the swatch.
As far as how it compares to other blushes, it reminds me most of Benefit Bella Bamba and NARS Deep Throat. Bella Bamba is a little brighter and more pink, and both Bella Bamba and Deep Throat have shimmer to them. This is like a slightly more peachy NARS Deep Throat without the shimmer. Here is how Stunner compares with some other permanent collection blushes from MAC (Stunner is top row, middle):
Top row: Pinch O' Peach, Stunner, Tenderling
Bottom Row: Fleur Power, Well Dressed, Springsheen
If you think you would like the shade, I highly recommend this blush. I know it sold out on MAC's website (may be back in stock now), but last I checked Nordstrom.com had it in stock. It will probably end up selling out, so I wouldn't wait around too long if you are interested.
Would you wear it?

ReplyDeleteI went into MAC wanting to buy Equilibrium but walked about with this instead! I've been wearing everyday so far and really like it. It's already sold out at my Macy's MAC. I also bought Dark Diversion because of your tutorial on it!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely!! I've just found one on ebay... they seem to have sold out over here in Australia too :S Crazyness!
ReplyDeleteBecause of your tweet yesterday I bought it today at the pre-premiere here in switzerland.
ReplyDeleteat first I only wanted to get the 226, but after that tweet I bought it nearly unseen, because of the many women at the event
ahhh this reminds me of my favorite blush from rimmel that got discontinued.. definitely going to try and get my hands on it (:
ReplyDeleteI saw this and totally wanted it when temptalia posted the press release before the collection launched, but I talked myself out of it. Then the day after the collection launched I was going to order it from Mac's website but it had already sold out, so I just told myself it wasn't meant to be, but then yesterday I saw your tweet about it and I ordered it from Nordstroms first thing this morning. I can't wait for it to get here, it is so pretty in the pictures, I can't wait to see it in real life!
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be more of a coraly blush then a pink and I defintley love the way it looks. I will be going their to pick this up tomorrow now!!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering what you think of Stunner vs Nars Orgasm? They look similar in the pan, minus the shimmer of course.
ReplyDeleteYour vids are awesome btw
The colors and shimmer complements well with different skin types.
ReplyDeleteJust got it in the mail! By the way, I ordered it off Nordstrom and I think it's out of stock now.
