I've found that MAC pigments are some of the easiest to work with in the makeup world. They are much easier than mineral eyeshadow because they clump together, in a sense. As you can see below, the jar looks like a bunch of tiny clumps of pigment, rather than a fine sand consistency.

This is the pigment swatched dry. If you apply it wet, you will see an even more saturated color (however, I usually apply my pigments dry).

This is amazing even just along the lower lash line for a pop of color.
Do you like loose pigments? Or are they too much work?

That is a beautiful blue! I've never worked with pigments before. I'm curious to try.
ReplyDeleteWill you be doing a tutorial with this color?
I love that color but I've never tried those pigments before. I feel more comfortable using the regular ones, if you know what i mean haha
ReplyDeletethis was super helpful! I just bought this pigment and it was great to see a review!
ReplyDeleteit looks like it would be alot of work! iv never tried macs loose pigment before! which is sad
ReplyDeleteI actually own a couple pigments because they were in some collection and "i just had to have them..." you know ;)
ReplyDeletehowever, I find that they're way to much work and trouble. I might just be to clumsy for it, i don't know....

I do find them a lot of work, but if I am in the right mood and with the right colour it is totally worth it. It gives such a different look and does look more intense.

looks beautiful! i love pigments :)
ReplyDeleteI love them and own quite a few.. but I must admit that I really don't mess with them too much because I haven't figured them all the way out. I need some lessons and practice.
ReplyDeleteI really love MAC pigments. One of my favourites is Rose pigment.
ReplyDeletei like pigments but have yet to find the perfect way to make them really stay put all day. this one is beauuuutiful but i could never use all that! wish they came in smaller sizes :/
ReplyDeleteit's almost an exact dupe for the blue loreal hip pigment. the only difference is that i find in the light, mac's doesn't have as much of a purple duochrome in it like the loreal one does. i prefer the loreal one for that reason.
ReplyDeleteThat's so so beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI've mentioned you on my blog!

there was a video (Products I regret Buying) that i loved your makeup in and you listed that you were wearing this pigment. can you do a tutorial on that look? I looked and a ton of people had asked for it! It seems like a simple look, but I just want to see how you actually did it.
ReplyDeleteI love this pigment! I may have to buy it now... I love loose eyeshadows so much, and I don't think they're any more work at all... I don't know why people always complain about them.
