Equilibrium is a medium, neutral brown with a satin finish, and in the pan, it looks pretty boring. However, its sheen gives it a little more of a blush-type glow on the cheeks, which I like.
I was most drawn to this product (and trying a brown blush in general) because I've always wanted a shade of blush that could be worn with any kind of colors elsewhere on the face. Sometimes I feel that when I wear a really bright eye look, even the most muted pink blush still makes me look clowny. A brown blush will add a glow to the cheeks without adding any additional colors to the face.

When applied to my skin, Equilibrium changes in tone a little. It actually turns a bit more rose-brown, which makes it very suitable as a neutral blush. I'm quite pleased with it!

Overall thoughts: I think Equilibrium is a beautiful blush shade. It will go with virtually any colors you pair it with, and could even be used as a nice cheek contour. However, if you rarely have a need for brown blush, I wouldn't spend the money on it. The quality is great, but bronzer would be similar enough to use for a once in a while fix. I would recommend this for light to medium skintones.
What is your favorite color of blush to wear? Mine is peach!

Oooo!! I hope you will wear this in a video!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI honestly love love this blush. I'm Asian and on me it turns a bit rosey like you said. I initially wanted Stunner, but once the girl at MAC put it on me it made me look like a clown haha.
ReplyDeletethe most "brown" blush i own is NARS Madly. This looks really pretty, so I'l have to check it out
ReplyDelete!!! I had my makeup done by a MAC artist a week ago and he used Equilibrium on my cheekbones (like a light contour) and then mixed a bit of Stunner on the apples. The combination is AMAZING and I seriously have not been able to use any other blushes since then! Try it!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty! I love the shimmer it has when you put it on your skin. I don't know if it would suit my skin tone, though. I'm not really dark, but I'm not that light either.
ReplyDeleteI really like this just debating if I need it because I have so many bronzers..
