MAC "MAC Me Over" Eyeshadows: Photos & Swatches!

I'm a sucker for MAC eyeshadows, especially limited edition shades in regular casing (that I can depot into my palettes). In the new MAC Me Over collection, five limited edition shades were introduced, and I pounced at the chance to get my hands on a few. The shades I chose are Creamy Bisque (light, frosty neutral), Moleskin (light, neutral brown), and Outre (mustard-toned medium brown).

Creamy Bisque, Moleskin, Outre

I ordered these online, and one of the first things I noticed when I opened them was that Outre really looks much less yellow in person than in photos. Whenever you compare it next to other neutrals, the mustard tones stand out, but alone it really just looks like a very golden/yellow brown. It's a perfect shade to wear through the crease for a more unique neutral look. Additionally, Outre is a matte finish, but really applies more like a satin finish would.

Moleskin (matte) and Creamy Bisque (frost) will be perfect for a light crease color and highlight, respectively, and both have excellent pigmentation. Outre has decent pigmentation, but I did have to work a little harder to get it to show up than the other two.

Overall, I think these are some great staple neutrals to have in your collection, and will certainly get a lot of use out of them.

Did you get anything from the MAC Me Over collection?
xx, Allison

  3. Like Sarah, I wish I could afford MAC as well..

When I look at how much MAC eyeshadows cost in the States for example I always think "oh my goodness that's so freaken cheap!" :D But there is a reason, believe me.

Last time I bought eyeshadows, I paid 26 USD. Yes. I did. That's 18 euros, for one eyeshadow. And that's what they cost normally! That is why 15$ seems like nothing to me. That's the average of eyeshadow prices. Of course Chanel, YSL and Dior are more expensive, but that's a different story.

It's definitely a new favourite eyeshadow!
I might have to go check out Stunner blush in person, after seeing your swatches. It looks really lovely.

  17. These are absolutely gorgeous. I love neutral eyeshadows, especially when you wear them in the crease paired with a lighter color all over the lid. Beautiful!
