In the above photo, all of the colors look fairly true, except Idyllic. It looks especially red in that photo, but it is a little more mahogany brown (as you can see in the swatch below).
The press information for these paint pots says they are all frosts, but clearly the textures vary. Nubile looks entirely creamy to me on my skin, and is slightly more peachy than Painterly. Genuine Treasure is more sheer than the others and has significant sparkle to it (think Cham-pale paint pots). Hyperviolet and Half-Wild have very little (if any) frostiness to them.

I plan on getting Imaginary for that reason, it is a blue/purple frosty duochrome that will look awesome as liner!

... and this next photo is with the flash. Darker picture overall but the flash shows the frosty reflects in some of the colors that you can't see in the "no flash" photo.
Overall, I am really impressed with the majority of these shades. The only one that gave me some trouble was Genuine Treasure; I had to build it more to get a solid finish. Treasure Hunt was a little sheer as well. All of the other shades applied like a dream: solid in a single swipe.
My top picks: Nubile, Genuine Treasure, and Imaginary. Idyllic is beautiful too, but my MUFE Aqua Cream in #17 is extremely similar. I will probably end up picking up at least half of this collection.

Thank you for posting this! I am highly interested in this collection as well. My top picks are: Nubile, Idyllic and Hyper Violet. I've always wanted to purchase M.A.C. paint pots, but for some reason I buy other things (lipsticks, blushes, eye shadows, etc.) Thanks again for the great post!

Idyllic seems like it'll be a great fall color since Crimson I've heard is going to be an 'in' color for eyes. I wish I made more money so that I could buy more MAC makeup. I love their formulas!

I really really don't get the hype on paint pots! I own bare study but it doesn't seem to hold my eyeshadow down plus whats the point if your gonna cover it with eyeshadow? I do wear it alone some times for a simple simple look, but i've had it for 6 months ish and its all pulled apart from the edges and i close it tight /: genuine treasure is really pretty though.. might try them again
