Nail of the Day: CG in the City

Today's NOTD is CG in the City, another fun polish from the China Glaze Metro collection for fall. This is a dark purple/silver/black glitter mix, and I really love the way it looks on my nails with a glossy top coat. My only complaint with this polish is that it was really sheer, as glitters typically are. I had to do four coats to achieve this opacity.

natural light, four coats

I'm starting to wonder when this whole glitter trend is going to die out a bit. There have been so many glitter-based collections in the last year: OPI Burlesque, OPI Katy Perry, China Glaze Naughty & Nice, and now OPI is making their Christmas launch full of glitters AGAIN this year with the Muppets collection. I like glitter, but I'm kind of ready for it to fade out. I do love this polish though!

xx, Allison

  2. I love this nail polish! Though glitter nail polishes are hard to remove and you do have to apply a lot of coats to get the opacity you want, i love the way they look on nails.
This is a gorgeous color :)

  9. I love glitter nail polishes! This looks really nice with your skin color! The only thing I hate about them is that it takes FOREVER to scrub them off.
