Coastal Scents Go Palette in Cairo: Swatches & Review!

A while back, Coastal Scents released Go Palettes: mini compacts with 12 dime sized shadows. Each palette is inspired by a different city. I've had my eye on these for quite some time because I love the color selections and they're great little travel palettes. The Go Palette featured in this post is the Cairo palette. Inspired by Egypt, the colors are warm, everyday neutrals.


The eyeshadow size is the same as in the 88 palettes. However, if you've ever used one of the 88 palettes, you know how big they are... definitely not travel friendly! Additionally, while I love my 88 palettes, 88 colors can be a little overwhelming to choose from sometimes. I like that the Go Palettes are a little more "specific" in color options.


There is a good mix of frost, satin, and matte shades in the palette, and I like that there are several highlight, all-over, and crease colors. A lot of different looks can be created with these options. I am pretty sure some of these colors can also be found in 88 palettes.


As for the formulations, these are extremely pigmented and smooth! The quality is exactly the same as the 88 palettes. Now for swatches:

  10. Nice colors but I havepretty much the same in the Naked pallet. I have gone on a makeup diet, only purchasing that which is necessary or extremely unique/special.

  12. Those are pretty. I have a bunch of neutral colors, but I really love that reddish-brown color in the middle. Maybe i'll buy this one and call it good for neutral colors. :)
