NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette: Swatches, Comparisons & Review!

NARS has released something I've never seen from them before: a blush palette! Considering that NARS blushes are the best I've ever used, I purchased this without hesitation from Sephora.com. The palette features six of NARS' permanent powders with .12 oz of product each. Full size NARS blushes are .16 oz, so you are getting 75% of a full size blush... certainly a good amount!


Like all other NARS compacts, this palette has the signature black casing with NARS written across it.


I think the shade selection for this palette is pretty fantastic. You get a highlighter and bronzer, then four different blush shades. I like that it has a variety: something plum, something bright, an everyday pink.

My only complaint is I don't feel it was necessary to have both Orgasm and Super Orgasm in the palette. They are pretty much the exact same shade, except Super Orgasm has tons of glitter (which I'm not a fan of). I wish they would have put something more browny-neutral instead of Super Orgasm, like Lovejoy, Madly, or even a shade like Amour or Gina.

To give you a size comparison between the palette blushes and other NARS products, here is the palette next to a NARS eyeshadow duo, single eyeshadow, and full size blush. You can see that the palette blushes are the same dimensions as the single eyeshadow. However, the pans for the palette blushes are deeper, so you are getting more product than you do in a single eyeshadow.

I really loved the exterior packaging of the palette as well. Would make for a great holiday gift!



This palette is currently available on the Sephora website for $65, but considering that the Sephora Friends and Family 20% off sale supposedly starts TOMORROW (October 20th), you can get 20% off of it!! Click here to get your own personal coupon.

Even if you don't use a coupon to purchase this product, you are still paying just under $11 for each powder in it. You are getting 75% of the product you would in a full size product that retails for $27, so you're basically getting a 50% discount on the powder weight.

Therefore, even if you already have one or two shades in the palette, you are still saving money purchasing the palette for the four shades you don't already have. I already had Sin, but $65 for 5 new blushes at this size is still a NARS steal.

  7. i already have desire and a baby baby super orgasm, but i want it none the less! in the summer laguna bronzer isnt dark enough, so its nice that its casino!! ive always wanted sin and a highlight wouldnt be a problem. so stoked for the FF sale tomorrow. even though im broke x:

  17. Thanks for the update on the friends and family sale... there hasn't been a lot of hype, so I was glad to know when it is... I will probably get a ton of stuff... I'm thinking of adding this nars palate as part of the order. I'm also on the market for a new mascara... any suggestions.... I've tried BadGal, BareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascara, Lancome Defincils, and a few drugstore

  34. I seen this on Sephora's website while I was searching for things for the Friends and Family sale and it was sold out! Not a big surprise but I was still devastated. I checked back this morning just to see and it was in stock!!! I don't think I could be happier! Put it in the basket and checked out before anyone could get it! haha

  38. It would be 100% perfect if they didn't put orgasm PLUS super orgasm. UNNECESSARY! With that said, I'm still buying it. It's ideal for traveling. It's the Naked palette of blushes.

  40. Ohhh... I really want this but in Australia one regular Nars blush is $90 (roughly US$90 as well), so I can't begin to imagine the cost of a Nars palette. But it does look wonderful.

  42. Hi, I got the palette from sephora recently and was really excited to try them out even though I already had some of the shades... But I feel kind of disappointed now because I felt like the pigmentation of the danmari in general wasn't as good as the regular sized blushes. Out of 6 blushes in danmari, to me only Sin had the same quality.

    I'm Mac nc15, but Casino didn't show much on my skin. Hungry heart just left bunch of glitters and no highlighting effect. Desire was really chalkier than regular one. Orgasm and super orgasm were close to what I have. It could be just the way it's compressed, but I don't know. Maybe I'll just take it back.

I actually like that they have orgasm and super orgasm because every time i've visited a NARS table i could never decide which one to get because i definitely LOVE glitter and it seems that super orgasm is a bit more red when you swatched it.   58. I am a fan of NARS no question, but I was hesitant (still hesitant) to purchase this palette. I've heard a few mixed reviews. I am probably going to just blush jack a friend and use theirs to see if I want to purchase it. Also, I did wind up purchasing BH cosmetics contour & blush palette and Coastal Scents 10 blush palette. I loved these palettes and I didn't think I would. It was a pleasant surprise, especially considering I have darker skin and typically go with the berry shades. I would recommend either of those palettes (or both), should you not want to go with the NARS Danmari palette. No offense to NARS (I love your products!!!)
