MAC Glitter and Ice Paint Pots: Swatches & Review!

MAC has released its new Glitter and Ice collection for holiday this year, and among the new items are some new Paint Pot shades. I admit, Paint Pots are one of my biggest MAC weaknesses; I have a tendency to acquire them like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter. Furthermore, the shades released with Glitter and Ice are very wearable (unlike Posh Paradise), so they are more justifiable to my squirrel-hoarder-like mind.

Morning Frost, Let's Skate

I purchased the two lighter shades of the three offered: Morning Frost and Let's Skate! Morning Frost is a classic frost finish (like Bare Study, Rubenesque), but very taupe-y. Let's Skate! is a very light pink with golden shimmer. It is much more sheer on the skin... I wouldn't buy this expecting to wear it alone for a noticeable look.   15. I was excited to get Morning Frost...and then I went in and swatched it. It was so sheer and settled into the lines on my hand within minutes. So, I decided to pass.

  17. Yay! I absolutley love your videos because they are super informative.... which I love! Plus I always see more of your videos in my sub box than any other guru. But lately your videos haven't been as informative as usual and are much more scarce. You are probably dealing with a lot of stuff because of your recent move, but you seem super organized an devoted so I hope this state of scare and uninformative videos is just a phase. Thanks for a blog post.

  19. i love the way the lets skate one looks in the pot, but when swatched i dont like the sheerness of it- look forward to seeing some looks with it from yah tho!

  22. MUFE Aqua Cream 15 is much, much darker than Morning Frost. I think Morning Frost is a great goes-with-anything base, while the Aqua Cream 15 is definitely something I would only want to layer under other browns/neutrals for a darker smokey eye!

  23. I don't have Vintage Selection so I can't say for sure, but if I remember right, Vintage Selection is a bit more pink/gold, where Morning Frost is more taupe.

  45. Allison, unfortunately Let's Skate never reached MAC stores in Italy :-( only got to buy the other 2 paint pots: Morning frost and for effect (which is great to be used as a black liner)
