This powder is a pinwheel of four colors: cream, peach, pink, and berry. When just looking at this in the box, it's hard to tell what the actual color you'll get is. When I first looked at this in person, I was a little disappointed. I thought maybe the cream color would be too overpowering and make this blush really light/chalky looking. However, I was very wrong!
Once swirled together and on the skin, this is a gorgeous peachy pink matte shade. It flatters my skintone perfectly! And after all of the frosty/shimmery powders Benefit has (Coralista, Sugarbomb, Bella Bamba...), I LOVE that this is matte, as that is what I prefer anyway. This color actually reminds me a lot of MAC Pinch O' Peach blush.
Here is a comparison with two of Benefit's other blushes, Throbb and Bella Bamba. As you can see, both Throbb and Bella Bamba have shimmer. As far as darkness goes, I would say Throbb is the lightest of the three, and Bella Bamba is the darkest.
As with all Benefit Boxed Powders, Hervana comes with a flip lid, mirror, and brush.
Another thing I wanted to mention is the smell... this smells amazing! It has a sweet floral scent. Apparently, this blush is good karma too!
Overall, I think this is a fantastic addition to Benefit's Boxed Powder line. They didn't have a good matte pink, and this is the perfect fit. You can purchase this in January for $28 wherever Benefit products are sold!
Would you wear it?
xx, Allison

I didn't want this at first but I'm beginning to get very tempted!! I don't like the pinwheel design at all though, kinda looks cheap to me.

I really wanted Bella Bamba but I could be swayed towards this now - not sure about the packaging though.

I'm always afraid to get Benefit blushes because they are priced so high!
ReplyDeleteCould you do a review on your favorite matte blushes? (any brand). I have such a hard time finding matte blushes.
I would totally wear it, I have coralista and Dallas, I think I will add this to my collection!
ReplyDeletethe first swatch of Hervana I saw leaned more on the cool side, so I didn't think it would suit my skin tone. But looking here, it looks much more neutral, and now I want it, unlike before I would have said pass. It's very pretty.
ReplyDeletecould you please do a swatch of hervana against pinch o' peach?? i'd really appreciate it!
