When I first heard about this release, I was extremely skeptical. My experiences with drugstore cream shadow formulations have almost always ended up with horrific creasing. However, after hearing people say these are crease free AND outlast MAC Paint Pots (my favorite primers), I found myself racing around town trying to find these to see for myself. I ended up finding these at Target. Caught up in the excitement of actually finding them, I just bought the entire line. You know, because apparently I think I have 20 eyes instead of 2.
I would like to applaud Maybelline for the color selection chosen for this product. A fantastic mix of neutrals/brights and mattes/frosts are available in this collection. Additionally, some of these colors are ones I haven't seen in the more popular cream eyeshadow lines (MAC, Benefit, MUFE).
Too Cool, Audacious Asphalt, Tough as Taupe
Bad to the Bronze, Bold Gold
Bad to the Bronze, Bold Gold
I'm very particular about the formulation, or "feel", of cream eyeshadows. MAC Paint Pots are my favorite because they are thick in consistency, almost like a concealer. For that reason, I was thrilled when I began playing with these and realized they feel exactly the same as the MAC Paint Pots on my skin. These are definitely thicker than the MUFE Aqua Creams and Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows, which I like! They are also very pigmented and creamy... they don't feel dry or "plastic-y"! My favorite of the neutrals is Tough As Taupe... it isn't everyday you see a matte taupe cream shadow!
Too Cool, Audacious Asphalt, Tough as Taupe, Bad to the Bronze, Bold Gold
I really like the selection of brighter shades Maybelline offers with these. Fierce & Tangy (orange) and Edgy Emerald (green) are two really unique shades that I think will be great for some brighter looks. Pomegranate Punk reminds me a lot of MAC Artifact/Idyllic Paint Pot and MUFE Aqua Cream #17.
Fierce & Tangy, Pomegranate Punk
Painted Purple, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald
Painted Purple, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald
The bright shades are nicely pigmented as well, however Painted Purple was a bit more sheer than the rest.
Fierce & Tangy, Pomegranate Punk, Painted Purple, Tenacious Teal, Edgy Emerald
Now for the moment of truth... how do they wear? AMAZINGLY. I am absolutely blown away. I used this as a primer for my eyeshadow with nothing else underneath it, and my eyeshadow stayed completely vibrant and crease free all day (10+ hours). I am thrilled to say I have finally found a drugstore brand eyeshadow primer that I can give an A+ rating.
At roughly $6, I think these are a steal considering their quality. If you are someone who likes MAC Paint Pots but don't like the price, I think these would be perfect for you!!
Have you tried these?
xx, Allison

ReplyDeletexoxo from Portugal =D
http://lets-talk-about-beauty.blogspot.com/
I sincerely hope these shop up in my area pronto! I love MAC Paint Pots, but $6.99 makes my wallet much happier!
ReplyDeleteI already have 4 of them but there are a few more that I must have!
ReplyDeletehttp://missmolly-dolly.blogspot.com/
Wow, I hope these come to the UK soon! I do like Mac Paint Pots but they crease after 6-8 hours with me so I need a primer - I'd love to have a base that doesn't need a primer that is also easy on the wallet! (...or will allow me to buy more colours :D )
ReplyDeleteI so hate anything Maybelline, but reading all the positive reviews on these has me convinced I need to try them.
ReplyDeleteThese look fabulous, I must try them! I agree with you about the whole "24 hour wear"... you make a good point!
ReplyDeletehope these are available in norway soon!
ReplyDeleteOmg ! I saw these at Target a couple of days ago and I thought, "I wonder what Allison would think of these," Lol. I'm serious! I'm so glad you reviewed them ! And I always love your swatches <3 Can't wait to actually purchase some! xx
ReplyDeletewow those are beautiful colours! definitely going to take a look at these :)
ReplyDeleteI must've looked passed these when I was at Target!! I have to go back and find them!!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks so much for this review! I really hope these and the revlon lipbutters will come to The Netherlands soon! Haven't seen any of those while I was shopping yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOooh, nice. I'm going to check these out...someone needs to do a 24 hour wear test, you know, just for fun. Lol.
ReplyDeletewww.diamondsandpearls11.blogspot.com
Wow, these look great! I doubt they'll ever make their way over to Iceland though, although I'll be sure to keep an eye out, just in case they do :)
ReplyDeleteI bought tough as taupe and Pomegranate Punk the other day to try them out and I loved them! Im definitley going back and buying more
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I have heard of these, but boy!!!! I'm going to keep my eye out for the Taupe and Bronze colors! Those are great!! I'm not much of a brights girl, but the neutrals are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIve been waiting for something like this for ever and the closest I got was Boot's range 17 and their metalic pots, which are just... METALIC a lot. there neutrals look yum! Me needs i think haha x
ReplyDeleteoh, i love all of these colors! :))
ReplyDeleteLooks like an awesome product. Keep us updated on whether or not they are quick to dry out in the jar!
ReplyDeleteI cross my fingers that they' ll arrive in Greece! The first 3 neutrals you' ve switched are calling my name!
ReplyDeleteI have four of these & I love them! I'd love to see a tutorial with some of these :)
ReplyDeletethese look great! You should do a tutorial with the teal or the emerald! I would love to see how you would wear them!
ReplyDeleteThese look really fun!! I love the mac paint pots so I'll have to try them. I hope you will take a look at my nail polish for new years eve post on my beauty blog: http://lovelo.wordpress.com/2011/12/30/sparkly-glitter-nails-for-new-years-eve/ Love Lauren
ReplyDeletewow they look awesome!
ReplyDeletereally hope they will be available in Germany as soon as possible :(
I saw those at Target just yesterday and I was wondering what they were.
ReplyDeleteI have never even heard of these. I will be getting these today, if I can find them! haha
ReplyDeleteII bought the taupe and asphalt ones (i know, I'm boring) last night and used the taupe one today. Love it so far. I wish they had made one like painterly or bare study, too.
ReplyDeleteI saw these at my local Walgreens today for around $8. I was tempted but had to remind myself that I'm not much of a cream eyeshadow girl. However, I did pick up the DreamLumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. So far, I'm liking it a lot.
ReplyDeleteI love these too! I can't believe you bought all ten! Lol
ReplyDeleteare these as good as mac paint pods considering the price difference or are they as good period?
ReplyDeleteGreat review! Thanks so much I'll try these!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I bought one last night and when I got home I swatched it on my hand. I couldn't even wash it off!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to hear these are comparable to MAC Paint Pots. Audacious Asphalt looks similar to the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Skinny Jeans, from what I can see from these swatches. I was so disappointed in the quality of the Benefit shadow. I should have just held out for these babies!
ReplyDeleteI just bought Tough as Taupe and Audacious Aspahlt today at Walmart. I didn't know when these were going to be launched so when I saw these I freaked out! I love the two colors I got mostly because I'm a neutral girl..lol. But overall you wouldnt find me get something like audacious asphalt, and I hear it's similar to Benefit Skinny Jeans. I really love these shadows but I would purchase anymore mainly because of the color selection.
ReplyDeleteI do hope these come out in Germany...
ReplyDeleteBasically the 'Lasts for 24 hours' thing isn't to be taken literally, it's just like a thing most companies use to sell their things, in this instance to exaggerate the staying power, another example is 'Growlucious mascara' or whatever it was :p Obviously it's not going to make your actual eyelashes grow, it's just used to promote the length that it will give you :) Gossmakeupartist talked about this once.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love how they look, but I predict that just like the Revlon Lip Butters, these will not come out in the UK even though we stock both of those brands :( Sad times. :(
OH MY GOD i reaaaaaaaally hope they bring these to the UK! I haven't shelled out for a paint pot yet but these could save me some pennies! Xx
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing!!!!!!!! We don´t have them in Spain yet :(( I don´t think they´ll bring them here... we only have the eye studio eye liner in black, imagine!!!
ReplyDeletexxx happy new year
I wish there was some nude colour like painterly
ReplyDeleteNice, I will probably get Bad to the Bronze and/or Bold Gold.
ReplyDeleteIs Too Cool a matte or frosty shade?
I just saw a display of these at Rite Aid today. I was skeptical about them (since I hadn't read any reviews on them yet) and didn't buy one. Now I wish I had taken a chance on them. They look so cool!
ReplyDeleteThose look awesome! Also I was wondering what Damara you use to film your videos?
ReplyDeleteI was going to buy one of the MAC Paint Pots, and I still may, but I'm so glad you showed us these! Thanks! I will definitely be getting some soon. You should do a video that shows what they look like on your eyes.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to try these...thanks for the review and swatches!
ReplyDeleteI picked up Pomegrante Punk when I saw it in Target before Christmas, but I only picked up 1 because like you I've had a bad experience with cream eyeshadows from the drugstore. I purchased Benefits Skinny Jeans at the beginning of the month (and I only got it becuase I know Sephora has a good return policy.
ReplyDeleteAnyways I really like it, but wish I had picked up Tough as Taupe it would be a great dab on and run to class color for next semester, and my Target only had a few left when I was there yesterday (none were this color). Thanks for the swatches!!!
OMG I had to actively stop myself from picking these up today, but after seeing you rave about them, I might have to cave.... (especially since you give them the high praise of being comparable to Paint Pots!!)
ReplyDeleteI think those brights would be ah-mazing for spring!!
http://powdrroom.blogspot.com/
these look really good, i want to try them. but i live in australia and i bet its a long time until they get here!
ReplyDeleteI just brought two and I can't wait to try it them.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try these! I've never tried the MAC Paint Pots, so I'm very excited to try something that's very similar to them!
ReplyDeleteI must find these and purchase!
ReplyDeleteIf you could only have one, which one would you pick? You're blog is amazing, by far my favorite makeup/fashion blog! (:
ReplyDeletethanks so much for the review allison! ive always wanted to try out cream eyeshadows as bases but was hesitant considering the prices tags but now ive found a cheap alternative! i wish it had a nude color though :(
ReplyDeleteomg i work for walgreens and we just got these in...i'm so excited that I saw you review these!!! now I HAVE to get them! :) :)
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous is that taupe!? I have never found a base that makes taupe shadow pop as much as this does. It's amazing!
ReplyDeleteJust picked these up today at Walgreens. I only ended up with one: Bold Gold. I would actually pick the exact neutral shades you chose. For color, I actually really like the green and teal color. Very pretty. Can't wait to get the rest.
ReplyDeleteemerald smoky eye? plleeeeaaasssseeee!!!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 of these and really like them! They are more expensive in Canada, but, like you said, compared to the MAC Paint Pots, the price is definitely better!
ReplyDeleteI also have the Tough as Taupe and have no idea how to wear it. It looks like mud when I put it on my eyes! :) A tutorial with it would be great!!
I haven't tried them and was trying to stay away from them, but I'm afraid you've sold me on trying them! I just bought the L'oreal infallible 24 hour eyeshadows and love them.
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing, can't wait till they come to the UK!
ReplyDeletePlease come and visit my blog for beauty posts and giveaways :)
http://beautybybonnie25.blogspot.com/
yours posts are so thorough in detail and so professional! love this review and can't wait to try these! your opinions always matter to me :)
ReplyDeletei need to grab a couple of these and some lip butters! they look amazing! thanx for the review and swatches!!
ReplyDeleteI nominated you for an award on my blog!!! one thing i love about your blog is that there is a lot of different content here then on your youtube channel, you are always blogging, and you have a million swatches
http://meetmakeup.blogspot.com/2011/12/versatile-blogger-award.html
I recently just bought a bunch of these too and LOVE them, I used them as testers on my hand in the store and they stayed all day and I went back and bought a bunch more that night because I was so impressed with the staying power! :) Love them on and the taupe is my favorite too!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that I'll cave and buy the whole line of these! (Perhaps without the orange..that color, I can do without) Thanks for the amazing review as always!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness,I am so excited about these! I was about to buy the Mac constructivist paint pot but now I can buy several from Maybelline! Thanks,Allison!
ReplyDeleteSaw these today at Walgreens but I was not sure how they would perform...now I will definitely be looking out for them next time!
ReplyDeleteReally hope these come to Iceland, which is doubtful since pretty much nothing comes here :/
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! I cant wait till it release here in the Philippines!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I picked up the Asphalt one and wore it last night for new years eve and it lasted through a night of dancing and fun! I really want to go back and get more! Darn not having a job haha. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeletehttp://fallen-angel-forever16.blogspot.com/
those are amazing. I most deff have to to check those out!
ReplyDeletehttp://thefashionjunkiebackintown.blogspot.com/
Definitely will be picking some of these up. Thanks for the great review!
ReplyDeletePomegranate Punk looks like NYX's Rust :) I really like these
ReplyDeletevideo review?
ReplyDeleteI bought 3 of these about a week ago. I was skeptical since I hadn't seen anyone else blog about them. They really are amazing and now I will be driving around trying to find the rest of the collection!
ReplyDeleteI bought 4 of them and am very impressed!! All day crease free wear, I am going back for more!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing reviews on all the products you go out and buy because you are truly helping people like me decide on whether or not to buy a product. And you are AMAZING at describing every little detail and I can really get the feel of what the products will be like so that I know what to expect, because most drug stores do not have testers out to test the product, so when I see a new product that a company has released I hesitate to buy it because i am not sure if I would like it. But anyways I just wanted to say once again thank you for writing so detailed and actually making me want to go out right now and buy everything haha. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you found these already! I've been looking forward to these for at least 2 months!!
ReplyDeleteI like that you were honest about never really finding a drugstore product like your paint pots. I watch your yt and I know how much you love those....hehe. Anyways like I said, I'm glad you're being honest and saying how amazing these are. That;s why I follow you. And I just bought three of these today. Can't wait to wear one tomorrow. Wish I had three eyes. jk
ReplyDeleteHaha, I instantly went on the hunt for these, and I got Pomegranate Punk and Tough as Taupe. I'm wearing Pomegranate Punk right now, and I love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of brush would you use to apply these cream shadows?
ReplyDeleteomg, sound amazing. Now i am on a hunt to find it in our stores, but probably won't find them since half of the makeup dosen't come to Slovenia. Keeping my fingers crossed that they do.
ReplyDeletehttp://mess-myworld.blogspot.com/
I tried the asphalt colorfor a baseon new years eve. Awesome awesome awesome! When my face and lip make up had worn away my eye look still looked fresh. In fact it took my hezvy duty makeup remover to get it off. Voing to pick up the others soon.
ReplyDeleteI have Bad to the Bronze and I'm in love with it! Just like you, I love the consistency and the way they dry! They stay put all day and the color payoff is really great on it's own. I'm definitely going to get more of these especially after seeing your swatches and review :D
ReplyDeleteI just bought bold gold and I love it! I didn't know how it would turn out but it was amazing! Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat. Another product that I need to purchase the entire line of. Poor wallet. :)
ReplyDeleteI just bought Bad to the Bronze and I love it. I cant wait to purchase more colors tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your comment about who the hell needs 24 hour eyeshadow? Cuz seriously. lol
ReplyDeleteWould love to see this in a future tutorial. Thanks for the swatches!
ReplyDeletei bought the orange one. i like using it as a base under a bronze eyeshadow. the orange made the bronze eyeshadow look so beautiful and gave it a new dimension! by the way, have you tried the new maybelline blushes? i picked up two and im definitely planning on getting more.....
ReplyDeleteHave you tried "Too Cool" as a inner corner highlight? how does it look?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try! Tough as Taupe looks so gorgeous, and so does Audacious Asphalt!
ReplyDeletehttp://theadmirableaddict.blogspot.com/
Colours look gorgeous! Too bad there isn't a nude like Painterly....it'll take a while for this product to reach Zagreb but I'll be on the look out....LOVE the taupe colour!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog on Blog lovin i love it! happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI bought Too Cool and Audacious Asphalt just to try them out, and I love love love them! I was impressed with how well they stayed and the fact that they didn't crease. I will continue to use these, and now I have to go get the rest of the colors! They work wonderfully! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG. I wore Tough as Toupe today alone and only had slight, as in i could only see it by stretching out my eye lid and getting supper close to a mirrior, creasing after 8, count em 8, hours!!! Thats insane considering i usually get creasing after six with a primer, NYX pencil and eyeshadow. I with there was a neutral color but I really want the gold and bronze too since i where those colors the most. I'm debating about the shimmery white one but i think that can wait till my NYX Milk dies. Overall I LOVE THESE CREAM EYESHADOWS!!!
ReplyDeleteOk. Need to find these. I've been staring at these waiting for reviews to see whether or not it might be worth it or not...
ReplyDeleteI bought the taupe and it's fabulous !! I can't wait to buy more ! Thanks for the heads up about this!
ReplyDeleteI bought the purple one before seeing your review and you are unfortunately exactly right. It's splotchy and sheer, kind of a disappointment. The others look very nice though. Def should have checked your reviews before buying it :(
ReplyDeleteI just picked up "Tough As Taupe" today at Target!!!! Funny that I stumbled upon your review the same day!!! Haha :) ...... I tried it out as soon as I got home since the product looked interesting and wanted to try it out. I am completely in LOVE with it!!!! It is extremely similar to MAC paint pots!!!! I am definitely picking up the rest of the collection!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is great,I like the Tough as Taupe, Bad to the Bronze. My two fav.
ReplyDeletei dont think they were trying to target them towards people who actually wear for 24 hours, i think they were just trying to get the point across that they were long wearing. and i think its kind of wierd to be questioning that priority when you bought the entire collection, half of which you will probably only use a few times. sorry allison, i love your blog and your videos, i just thought that statement was a little odd and over dramatic.
ReplyDeleteWow, I really like the brownish toned ones! I think tough as taupe, bad to the bronze and pomegranate punk are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteAmanda
http://amandagrieve.blogspot.com/
I picked up Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze. I was hoping the taupe one would go on a little more opaque but if I'm using it as a base then it doesn't really matter. Absolutely love the bronze one! I might try the bronze one on one eye and MAC paint pot in Rubenseque on the other eye as bases and see how they compare. I agree with everyone who said that there should be a dupe for Painterly! I'm very surprised that there isn't.
ReplyDeleteWhere can I buy these? I live 2 1/2 hours away from a Target and they are not available online! HELP!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI got mine at Wal-Mart. Ulta sells them, as does CVS. :)
ReplyDeleteare these sold in austrailia?
ReplyDeleteI have tried them and I love them. I have six already and they are great my eyeshadow lasted all day and it looked the same since when I put it on at 8 in the morning till i took it off around 11. Love these cream eyeshadows! ;)
ReplyDeleteplease do comparision between Tough as Taupe and Groundwork paint pot!! From your swatches I think Groundwork is a bit warmer.
ReplyDeleteI wish they had a nude color or a champagne like color! These are gorgeous! Off to target now to pick up some of these along with the new bouncy blushes!
ReplyDeleteloreal's new eyeshadow have a matte skin tone colour called endless pearl if that helps! these look so awesome! can't wait to get my hands on these :D
ReplyDeleteeee!!!!! they look awesome!!! you MUST come up with some looks with Tough as Taupe- i'd love to see that!!! ....please? =}
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm new to the site and really like your honest reviews! I'm so happy you said that Pomegranate Punk reminded you of MAC Idyllic. I wasn't able to get my hands on Idyllic and had been looking for a dupe! Do you plan to do any comparison swatches for dupes? I agree I would love to see a nude or champagne option.
ReplyDeleteI bought all ten shades and LOVE them. I like bronze & gold more than the others, but I can use those for bases or tho mix and match to get the desire shade I want. I don't like Fierce & Tangy as much as I aspired to like it. I think it feel a bit short fr me. It isn't as creamy as the others and crumbled a bit as I swatched it. Maybe I have a bad container. Either way, the color isn't vibrant enough for me.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone knoew if these are limited edition??
ReplyDeletejust bought too cool and i loove love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your review! I recently picked up the bronze and the white one. I crease no matter what I use as a primer and did with these as well. I do find that I creased "less" wearing them and they made my e/s more vibrant. Is there an absolute amazing eye primer you recommend? I've tried UDPP, Smashbox, Palladio, Bare Minerals, and Mary Kay. Creasing with all of these. Yes, I am super oily. Please help me!
ReplyDeleteOne of mac's new collections include an orange paint pot. Looks exactly the same. I love orange but I can't wear orange on my eyes (too pale). I got bad to the bronze and tough as taupe. I already have idyllic, (pomagrante punk), wood winked (bold gold), and half wild (painted purple). I would probably get edgy emerald bc it's unique but haven't decided yet. Great review!
ReplyDeletethese came out in Canada before the US, (which is SO unheard of!) so I was skeptical of buying them since I had seen no reviews on the products! Now I want to run out and buy them!
ReplyDeleteWhere I live they hadn't realised yet.. And I think they will cost around 20 $ ehile MAC costs here 21 .. So.. What shouls I choose? Sadly revlon, mybiline and etc. are not drag store items here.. they cost around the price of mac stuff :(
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she purchased them all for the purpose of being able to review them all and to provide swatches on her blog...
ReplyDeleteI want on a bit of a splurge after seeing everyone rave about these. I think the pigmentation is AMAZING and I find you have to blend fast because they set really quickly. My only complaint is that they do not wear for 24hrs like stated (not that i expected a full 24hrs), but I worked an 8hr shift and I hadn't looked in the mirror once that day ... so I'm not sure when it started to crease and fade, but by the end of my shift it was creased, and hardly there :(
ReplyDeleteJust picked up the Bad To the Bronze, paired it with Half Baked from the UD Naked plalette. An employee at Sephora complimented me on my eyeshadow, it made my day. I also have Pomegranate Punk and Tough as Taupe, love, love all three!
ReplyDeleteOOHH! great review! I absolutely love this product soooo much. I only bought three when I got them and wish I had splurged and just got them all. I must say because you splurged we truly get a great idea of how all the colours work and look. Of the three I bought the orange has to be my favourite because it is soo bright, and then pomegranate punk is a close second.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review!
*waves*
lilchicmama.blogspot.com/
I recently got the Taupe color and I really like it.. the consistency is similar to the MAC paint pots (I use Painterly). I use this as a base layer for any neutral shadows (Kat Von D Saint pallete) or to wear alone if I'm in a hurry and going for a (not-so-natural) natural look. I'm a nurse who works 12 1/2 hour shifts (too busy to ever check or retouch my makeup) and this paint pot works great :) no creases !
ReplyDeletelove these! i really want the white one though.. allison what do you prefer the white one (too cool) or the nyx eyeshadow pencil in milk as a primer?
ReplyDeleteYou have completely convinced me to check these out
ReplyDeletewww.thejewelbeautyblog.blogspot.com
i have been looking everywhere in australia for these and i can't find them anywhere :( a MAC paint pot here is $35!
ReplyDeletehttp://erinkatemakeup.blogspot.com/
I just bought these today (made the lady go into the back and get more colors because the display was almost cleaned out). I've only done test swatches but I LOVE them. Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteno, but going to now that ive seen your swatches. the teal and purple look amazing
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a gold base, would you recommend Maybelline bold gold or MUFE #11? Please answer :)
ReplyDeleteI have Tough as Taupe and absolutely LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI hope they come to the UK!
ReplyDeleteI have all 10 colors and I like all of them. Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze are my favorites of course. I got them all to use as bases because several of them remind me of paint pots. Emerald looks like Rollickin', Pomegranate Punk looks like Artifact, Bold Gold looks like it's similar to Genuine Treasure, Painted Purple looks like Half Wild, and Audacious Asphalt reminded me of Skinny Jeans by Benefit, which i've been wanting for a long time so I had to pick up the Maybelline one right away!
ReplyDeletei enjoyed readingly your blog. your side comments are so funny but i like the continuity of it :D i hope these would be available in the PH! :(
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this out. But through ebay it would cost me about 20$ to get it here in europe. the question for myself is if it is worth it. I just fell in love with the taupe color. 90% of the time I have a taupe-ish eye-makeup.
ReplyDeleteI have both and personally the Maybelline bold gold has a LOT more staying power, and it's a lot more beautiful on the eyes. Hope that helps :)
ReplyDeletei would love to get Pomegranate Punk but this shade isn't available (yet, I hope) in Germany :(
ReplyDeleteBut I bought Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze today :)
I LOVE THESE SO MUCH! Thanks for the swatches I went ahead and bought a few that really stood out for me. Here are the looks I have created with them underneath some Mac shadows so far:

http://stephycastorani.blogspot.com/2012/02/maybelline-color-tattoo-24hr-creme_16.html
Thank you again!
love your blogs!
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!! I first got Bad to the Bronze since it's a neutral and was amazed by the quality! I think the texture is super buttery but more solid-y than Paint Pots. And Colour Tattoos seem to be a touch more pigmented than Paint Pots. Just saying ;)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they will extend the line. That would be awesome. :p it will probably never happen though
ReplyDeleteI swatched these colours today and they felt really dry. I really had t press hard to get some decent colour payoff and as soon as they were on my skin they did not blend at all. Is that normal?
ReplyDeleteThere should be nudes,pinks,and,limes greens,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these! I was super impressed because I don't usually spend tons of money on alot of eye products but these were priced great!
ReplyDeletedo you think you could use the blue and green ones as colored liner?
ReplyDeleteWe just got them in the UK, Love the 3 I picked up!!! xxx
ReplyDeletehttp://mnavyprincess.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/maybelline-colour-tattoo-24hr-review.html
Yes I agree..I think that comment was really unnecessary and shows a lot of immaturity. Blog review or not, anyone who can drop $60 or so on eyeshadow in one shopping trip isn't doing too badly in life..and clearly doesn't know/care about being insenstive to those who are wose off in life..Sad.
ReplyDeleteif your looking for a good painterly dupe, nyx eye shadow base in shade 03 skin tone is amazing! it comes in a pot too and is about $8
ReplyDeleteSo I'm looking for bright cream liners for the summer. Do you think i could use this like a gel liner?
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a cream eyeshadow and I'm kind of scared but that bronze is so beautiful!
ReplyDelete
