Today's NOTD is another festive shade from the China Glaze holiday collection this year, called Twinkle Lights. This gold, red, and green glitter reminds me of tinsel and is perfect for the holiday season. It is a tricky polish to photograph (as are most glitters), because the camera focuses on the individual glitters and not the overall effect. I will say that in person, this is much more striking! It is also pretty opaque, 2 coats had almost completely solid coverage, but I added a third just in case.

This photo shows a bit more of the gold effect it gives.

ReplyDeletei really dont have a fav polish to wear in holidays :(

oh man this is one of my most wanted polishes of the moment! do you use two coats of topcoat on top of glitters like this? or do you leave it semi-gritty? I'm always curious to see what others do.
ReplyDeleteyou should try layering it under a red polish or a white one (only one coat so you can see the color underneath) it looks amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, gorgeous! I might try some sort of glittery polish for this winter, though I love going with simple, bright reds for the holiday.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and very glittery! Im loving the glittery nail polish this year

Can you recommend an easy way to take off glitter polishes? I am new to them and the two times I've worn them recently I've had to literally peel them off because my polish remover didn't do anything :/

ReplyDeleteI'm loving the combination of, "A Little Dangerous," and, "It's Bouquet with Me." Both are from the Glimmer Wonderland 4 piece set from Sephora by OPI. Here's the post I did on my Tumblr: http://cuquiface.tumblr.com/post/13684450803/nail-of-the-day-once-again-im-wearing-two
ReplyDeleteReally loving that nail polish in your post! (: I'll have to check it out.
The first polish is called *Just a Little Dangerous* By the way, lol.
ReplyDeleteThere's a fantastic nail polish remover in Target that gets offall the nail polish really quickly! It's in a blue bottle, and the I thinnk the company is called Up & Up! Hope I helped. :)
ReplyDelete100% acetone nail polish remover. I got some at my local CVS. It was a CVS brand and it said it was, "Professional Nail Polish Remover." It takes glitter nail polishes off so easily! It is very harsh though since it's 100% acetone. It also dries up very fast on a napkin or tissue, definitely use a cotton ball.
ReplyDeletethis is such a cute lovely shade!!! Love it!!! I love to wear red polishes during holidays^^ and I have OPI's personal shopper on my nails now, love that it's so creamy and opaque and...of course easier to remove^^
