Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful: Review & Swatch!

Today's featured product is another blush from the Tarte Amazonian Clay Line. 'Blissful' is a warm, orange/peach/pink matte color. I like that this shade is pretty light, as I run into trouble pretty easily with brighter oranges on my skin.

The packaging of this line is very user friendly, considering the actual cases are colored like the blush inside. In addition, the blushes have a design of the Amazon River on them!

I think Blissful is a perfect color for fair to medium skintones, and especially anyone who is timid when diving into the orange-y blush range. I like that the color is matte, because it keeps the color from being too overwhelming on my skin. If it was really shimmery, I think it might just be too much!

Like all of Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blushes, Blissful is wonderfully pigmented and blendable. Here's a swatch!

One of the coolest things about this line is Tarte created these blushes to be pans in a magnetic case! That way, all you have to do is pop them out of their magnetic case to organize them in a Z-Palette or something. Good thinking, Tarte!

I can't wait for spring and summer to come around, because I know this blush will be getting A LOT of use then. For the winter, I don't wear too much of this shade, but with a bit of a tan in the summer it will look fantastic!

These blushes retail for $25 and can be purchased wherever Tarte is sold!

Are there any blush shades you stay away from?
xx, Allison

  3. I used to stay away from very pigmented, dark blushes. Not anymore because i got a mac 187 brush and it applies even the most pigmented blush sooo beautifully i can achieve a sheer application with a swipe. I also love blissful, it's the only peachy shade I have and use it very often.

  7. Hey Allison! Since these blushes seem to have been made so the pans can be popped out of the magnetic case, can we re-use the case and just buy the pans? Do you know if Tarte just sells the pans or if they plan to have that as an option in the future? Seems like it'd be a good idea since they seem to be so eco-conscious and would be a great way for loyal customers to save some money and save the environment.

  9. I've had this blush for a few months. it's a great everyday color. And I don't use it a lot in the winter either. I stay away from very dark shades of blushes. My skin is too fair for them

  10. Hey amarixe! I am just starting out wearing makeup and I want to get some very high quality makeup. I have a budget (obviously, I'm just a teenager) I have around $50 in gift cards to macy's, $20 dollars to ulta, and around $35 dollars in spending money. I don't need any skin care products since I have insanely clear skin. I was thinking of buying an amazonian clay blush because they seem really high quality. Would you recommend this over MAC blush? What blush shade do you think is good for a young girl looking for a natural, high quality blush. Thanks so much for your time!!!

  11. I just got this blush and, unbelievably, it's the very first blush I own. I'm a little at a loss as to what colours I should match it with (on the eyes). Do you have any suggestions?

  12. I think it would look beautiful with golden or grey tones on the eyes! Something that compliments it but isn't too drastic :)

  13. I definitely think the Tarte blushes are just as good of quality (if not better) than MAC blushes, so I don't think you could go wrong with one of these! As far as the shade goes, it depends on your skin tone! :)

  14. Unfortunately, Tarte doesn't sell the pans individually. Maybe that will be something they will do in the future though! :)

  18. I have these blushes in Tipsy and Exposed - they are by far my favorite blushes I have ever owned - to date. I love that they pop out - great for traveling pallets but the pot it comes in is great for every day use at home - lightweight and compact.
