MAC has released two new blushes in their MAC Me Over collection, and while I'm trying not to rush into this new relationship, I think MAC Stunner may be my favorite regular MAC blush yet. (By regular, I mean normal casing/not msf, oversized, beauty powder, etc.) The first thing I thought when I opened this in the mail was, "I'm going to need a backup of this."

NYX has released a new line of eyeliners, called the Slide On Pencils. NYX claims these are waterproof, smudge-proof, and like liquid liner in pencil form. 18 shades are offered, and these retail for $8 wherever NYX cosmetics are sold.

The same day I purchased Chanel's Quartz nail polish, I made the mistake of swatching one of the eyeshadows from their latest collection, the Ombre Essentielle shadow in Fauve. This shade is a plummy taupe, and as soon as I swatched it on my skin, something about the finish captivated me. I think of it as a cooler MAC Satin Taupe on steroids. It just has more oomph!

FINALLY, a company has heard all of my telepathic requests to make a dark green gel liner! I was at my local drugstore the other day, and saw that Maybelline has released a new limited edition collection for fall inspired by Fall Fashion Week. One of the items of this collection is a new gel liner shade called Forest: a deep, forest green color that is absolutely to die for.

A while back, I splurged and bought my first Chanel nail polish, Black Pearl. At $25 a pop, these polishes aren't cheap, but I was so impressed with the quality of Black Pearl, I knew I had to cut loose and get Quartz when I saw it a couple of weeks ago. I love this shade because even though it is neutral, it's very unique. Most light, frosty, neutral polishes are very golden/yellow/champagne in tone, but this one is very taupe. It's one of those shades that depending on the lighting, I can't tell if it is brown or grey. In fact, it reminds me exactly of the CoverGirl eyeshadow, Tapestry Taupe.

I have a feeling this is going to be my go-to neutral polish for this fall. You'll probably see this one on my nails a bunch in videos!
What is your favorite neutral polish right now?

I did some Back to MAC-ing recently, and one of the eyeshadows I picked out was Haux. This is one of those shades I always looked at when visiting the MAC counter, but then decided to go with something more eye-catching. On this trip to MAC, I decided to finally see what Haux is all about.

Today's featured product is MAC's Club eyeshadow, an intriguing duochrome of green, brown, and a little bit of red. I've always been hesitant to get it because I wonder, how do you wear green, brown, and red at the same time? I was only convinced to try this out after many recommendations from fellow YouTubers and bloggers.

Today's NOTD is Trendsetter, a shade from China Glaze's new Metro collection for fall. It is an opaque, chartreuse green with gold shimmer, and I feel like this is the kind of shade you either love or absolutely despise. I think this shade is a wonderful, trendy color for fall and I can't wait to rock this on my nails whenever I'm tired of the classic autumn burgundies and taupes! Well done China Glaze!
Yay or yuck?

Today's NOTD is A-Taupe The Space Needle, from OPI's new Touring America Collection. Now I have to admit, I mostly bought this because of the name; I have many wonderful memories in Seattle, and the Space Needle itself. I'm not insanely crazy about the color of this polish, partially because I feel that the name is misleading. This definitely does not strike me as a taupe color, I would describe it as more of a golden, "saddle" brown.
On a side note, please excuse the extremely short nails. Moving into a new apartment does not treat long nails kindly! ;)
natural light, 2 coats
This is much darker than San Tan-tonio, but roughly in the same color family. This probably won't be a favorite for fall, but will be nice to pull out when I want something neutral but a bit different.
Would you wear it?

If you follow me on Twitter or saw my July favorites video, you have probably heard me rave about the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel (formerly called "Bronze Universal") cream bronzer. Apparently this product has been around for a while, but didn't reach my radar until recently. This product is a matte cream meant to use for whatever bronzing purposes you desire, but is also supposed to be able to work as a base for foundation, powders, etc. I don't know about you, but the idea of applying this all over my face as a primer sounds like an Oompa Loompa waiting to happen, but perhaps if you had the appropriate skintone for it, it could work.
