I think the packaging of these blushes is pretty cool. I don't know how to describe the shape of the compact (swoopy square maybe? haha) but I like it! I also like that "Illamasqua" is written where the compact clasps.

I would describe Ambition as a medium toned pink with a hint of plum to it. It has a beautiful golden shimmer that reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm. I would say this is very similar to Orgasm, but slightly less pink and more plum.

The formulation is really nice: good pigmentation and goes on the skin very nicely. Here's a swatch!

These blushes retail for $24 and can be purchased exclusively through Sephora. Have you ever tried any Illamasqua products? I've heard their nail polishes are pretty great as well.
xx, Allison
That looks so pigmented and amazing! Gonna have to try some

ReplyDeleteI've got their eye pigment in Involve and I love it. The pigmentation and lasting power is fab. Illamasqua is truly a brand that is seeping into my favourites list. This blusher is beautiful. I simply really like the shade xox
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful! <3
ReplyDeleteNever tried Illamasqua - but like you, I keep hearing about them.

I own a few Illamasqua nail polishes and they truly are fantastic. I usually get 7-10 days wear before ANY chipping-- well worth the $14. And, I think Force is going to be a great color for Spring/Summer this year :)
ReplyDeleteI was going to say this looks alot like Orgasm...it's very pretty.

Illamasqua false lashes are HORRIBLE. I blew £26 on two pairs as a 'treat'. baaaaad move. They are too stiff and not that flattering.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour! Looks like a really good blush to start off with from Illamasqua - very wearable :)

I received this blusher in a goody bag at an Illamasqua event and it is probably my most favourite blush ever! I agree it is like Nars Orgasm - but WAY more pigmented and a lot more shimmery.
ReplyDeleteI love Illamasqua as a brand on the whole but for me, their blushers and lipsticks are the best part of their line.

I love the color, I just wish I could justify the cost!
ReplyDeletesoooo pretty. I have a Illamasqua cream blush in Rude which I really like. They're polishes are great too, my fave is Wink!

I love Illamasqua. I stumbled across it in Selfridges when it first came out in the UK as I was looking for a Cream Foundation in a compact for dry skin to take travelling. Seems like they were one of the only brand who actually made a compact for dry skin. I then went on to buy their Cream Blusher in a colour which is similar to MAC's Hush - unfortunately the name has rubbed off the back so I can't tell you the colour. It is phenomenal and you can use it on your lips too if you are short on space in your handbag etc. Their cream eye pigments are amazing as well. To be honest I wasn't so keen on their nail polish - I found it a bit gloopy and it seemed to leak a lot - much prefer Chanel or OPI. The guys who work there are always so helpful and open - they seem less snooty (sorry, not sure if you use that word in USA), than at MAC. They are just friendly and don't want to rush over you to the next person!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a gorgeous color!! Do you know if they have any matte or satin blushes? and if so have you tried them and what are your thoughts?
ReplyDeletethe nail polishes ARE awesome....i have a dove grey cement shade, soooo creamy and easy to work with. wish i could afford them all :D i want to try their blush too! the lip gloss is also PHENOMENAL. i haven't tried anything by them that i didn't like honestly. sigh, i need a shopping spree with them ;)
ReplyDeleteI had seen a few reviews on Illamasqua things before and I was on the fence. But after this review I may need to pick up a few things next time I'm at Sephora!
ReplyDeleteActually, the majority of the Illamasqua line is matte! That is why this one caught my eye when it was released. I haven't tried the matte ones, but have heard they are absolutely amazing.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried their lipsticks... might have to give them a look next time I'm at Sephora! :)
ReplyDeleteYikes! Good to know! I recently tried the Benefit lashes and was very impressed with them... just a recommendation if you are looking for something better! :)
ReplyDeleteUm lets just get this straight their nail polishes aren't just pretty great they are freaking amazing. I love them, I haven't tried the blushes but I have my eye on a few shades and a lipstick. But I'm not a fan of their intense lip glosses.
ReplyDeleteTheir cream blushes are amazing too!!
ReplyDeleteSuper pretty! I also love the packaging!
ReplyDeleteTheir nail polish is nice and longlasting. This blush is gorgeous and very natural. Their cream blushes are the best cream blushes I have tried, blendable and lasts all day! =)
