It seems that almost every drugstore brand has released a new moisturizing lip product lately, and Maybelline is no exception. The new Baby Lips products are a tinted moisturizing balm in stick form. These have SPF 20 in them so they are great to throw in a beach bag or have on hand during the warmer months!
There are six total shades in the collection, two clear balms and four tinted balms. I figured I only needed one of the clear balms, so I passed on the sixth shade. I love the packaging and color schemes of these!
I heard a lot of people say that these were supposed to be comparable to the Revlon Lip Butters, but I don't think they are really similar at all! The Revlon Lip Butters are more like sheer lipsticks in the sense that they pack a lot of color, but as you can see in the swatches below, the Baby Lips are quite a bit more sheer. You definitely won't get the same coverage from these that you would from a Revlon Lip Butter. However, these are really moisturizing and are great for a really nice subtle tint of color on the lips!
Last, but not least, these smell AMAZING! Each balm is scented according to its shade name, and tastes like it too!
These retail for roughly $3 and should be available wherever Maybelline products are sold. These will definitely be a staple to have in my bag for when out I'm running errands or going to class because they are very natural looking and very moisturizing.
What is your favorite moisturizing lip product?
xx, Allison

i want to try thiss soo bad <3
ReplyDeletehttp://vmjeheart.blogspot.com/
ill def be checking them out! i never realized sunscreen for the lips was so important until i noticed a minor sun spot on my lip :(
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, in Japan the Baby Lips are lip balms, and I don't think any of them are tinted! :)
ReplyDeleteYou make me wanna buy half of Maybelline range hehe xx
ReplyDeleteThey are not available in my country. It sucks to live in Europe sometimes...
ReplyDeletelove the packaging on these, its so colourful! and pink punch looks nice. Hope they come to the UK, we still don't have the lip butters yet!
ReplyDeletewww.cosmeticintelligence.blogspot.com
Hey, Allison! Which one is your favorite?
ReplyDeleteagree.....
ReplyDeleteThe cute tubes make me wanna eat all of them LOL
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting the revlon lip butters but now i also want a few of these. not that i need them just a want haha!
ReplyDeleteI have the peach kiss and I really like it. It's just a little added color for the day which I like. If Im using a regular lip balm I usually use the EOS ones.
ReplyDeletehttp://madnessanmusings.blogspot.com/2012/01/and-im-loving-minty-green.html
I would love to try them when they come to my country.

Love them all! Thank you, My fav moisturizing lip product would have to be Burt's Bee's! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree :( a lot of great products are only available in USA :(
ReplyDeleteI really want to try these out, they look great!
ReplyDeletehttp://girlyframe.blogspot.com/
I can't wait for these to come to the UK!
ReplyDelete*sigh* Maybe when they come to Europe like the lip butters! my favourite right now is the balms read my lips!

I've been eyeing these, but I have so many lip products right now, so I'm being good and waiting. lol.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Burt's Bees tinted lip balms.
www.diamondsandpearls11.blogspot.com
I love burt's bees tinted lip balms - I wonder how comparable these are to those.
ReplyDelete(The price tag on these is a fraction of the BB ones...)
I hate to live in Europe (Denmark) now I can see the different great hauls Amarixe and Missglamorazzi are doing.. Baaah
ReplyDeleteEurope/Denmark sucks makeup wise!
ReplyDeleteI've had these for a few months and I LOVE them! Even more than my Revlon Lip Butters! I think the colors are so pretty and they are SO moisturizing! I have very very dry lips so I apply the peppermint one after I exfoliate my lips and sleep with it on. The first time I did this I already felt and saw a difference. Peach kiss is my favorite color on my tan/olive skin tone but I think it would look great on anyone! I'm dying to get pink punch but it has been sold out of every store I've gone to for almost 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I hope you do a tutorial with the Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo eyeshadows!
:)
I agree. I wish I would live in the USA...
ReplyDeleteUlta. Is having a sale right now and these are buy 1 get 1 half off can't wait to go pick some up today
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moisture centric lip product is the Jouer lip enhancer treatment. I'm also a fan of Jouer lip gloss for its moisture and color pay off.
ReplyDeleteWow we have these in Australia and they def aren't tinted and the packaging is more like a basic lip balm...these look cool!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moisturizer are by Carmex, though I really want to try Rosebud and wish I could get Bees Wax here.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also agree with previous comments: sometimes I wish I was back in the US!
xoxo
Anna
Yeah, I love those too. They are so moisturizing and easy to wear. I think the Revlon lip butters may be more similar to them-I'd like to try them soon, but every time I go to the store, the one or two that I am interested in are always sold out!
ReplyDeleteGermany does too!
ReplyDeleteI live in Brazil... it's even worse! We have Maybelline and other american companys here, but what would cost 6 Dollars in the US (aproximatedly 12 Reais, our currency), is almost 30 Reais!! It's awful! Well, at least we have it... :S
ReplyDeleteI like my mint EOS balm...I have the pink and purple one but I don't think they work as well.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen these in my country but I don't know if this is a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteThey seem really nice, but I am so anxious to try the Revlon Lip Butters!
And I haven't seen'em in my country. Huge bummer!
Are these and the Colour Tatoo's ever going to be available in th UK?
ReplyDeleteHttp://allthingsbeautymake-upandshopping.blogpost.com
i LOVE these. they smell so good and they are pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love these so much! I have Peppermint, Pink Punch, and Cherry Me. I never saw the Grapevine one before! I definitely will have to keep my eye open for it!
ReplyDeleteIf we are lucky we can purchase it through the internet for at least 30-50 dollar shipping costs, with the big chance that we have to pay even extra when it reaches our border for importing.... Europe really sucks make-up wise. :(
ReplyDeleteI heard these were more moisturising than the lip butters, even though they're not supposed to be similar. I live in the UK, are these available online or on drugstore.com? X
ReplyDeleteThese sound amazing. Even tho i can't purchase most of the things I read on your blog, I truly love your blog and keep reading everything. :D
ReplyDeleteMaybelline has been coming out with some pretty amazing products lately! I just wish we had them in my country...

ReplyDeleteWww.allthingsbeautymake-upandshopping.blogspot.com
I have the sixth shade! I love it, but I feel it tastes like... medicine? sort of? or like soap or something
ReplyDeleteI picked up Cherry Me yesterday, and I love it! Next I want to purchase Pink Punch. Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeletehttp://keepcalmandcarrylipstick.blogspot.com
My favorite is Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Dark Chocolate and Peppermint Lip Butter...it smells gorgeous and is very nourishing for your lips.
ReplyDeleteI have Peppermint and it smells great! The whole shelf for those at my local Target was completely empty the day after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moisturizing lip product is the EOS mint balm. Burt's Bees would have to be a close second. I also recently got some of the Revlon lip butters and have really been loving them for when I want moisture AND color.
ReplyDeleteI love these lip balms they are amazingg <333 I really want to get cherry me :)
ReplyDeletep.s what camera do you used?
http://kayheartsmakeup16.blogspot.com/
I bought Peach Kiss and I love it! It's probably one of my most favorite lip balms now because it's not waxy or heavy on my lips, but it does moisturize, and the smell is HEAVENLY. I like that it doesn't get all gross or sticky on your lips. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGetting the peppermint one!..... :)
ReplyDeletei do love them but I am not a fan of the taste of tehm I have Peach Kiss, Grapvine and Pink Punch I wear the Peach Kiss most often as it is always in my car but ugh the taste is plastic and sick i wish it was differnt for that
ReplyDeleteI like the new the balm lip products by l'oreal.. The colors aren't that pigmented but I like the level of moisturizing it does! :)
ReplyDeleteI live in Australia, the baby lips balm do look smilar, but comtains no sunscreen or tinted to it! :( i prefer there tinted
ReplyDeleteI have been keeping the grape one in my winter coat pocket,,, YUM!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Carmex Moisture Plus tinted lip balms? I have the peach, pink and plum tinted ones and I like them better than baby lips and revlon lip butters. Perfect amount of color, never sticky, feels like a dream on the lips! I'd love to hear what you think about them!
ReplyDeleteThey look great but I am not sure about the packaging - it looks a bit tacky. I am looking forward to them coming over to the UK though!
ReplyDeletePlease visit my NEW BLOG for beauty posts. I am doing an exciting giveaway when I reach 50 followers!

Wish these were in the U.K. - it totally sucks living here and not being able to buy these!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get out to America to pick up some of these! X
ReplyDeletei love this product its the only lip balm that actually works on my very chapped lips
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these and I don't think I every compared them to the Lip Butters because the pigmentation is so different. However I hate to say that I love these more than the eos. I still love eos but my peppermint makes my lips so much more moisturized, quicker than eos.
ReplyDeleteI agree...
ReplyDeleteI like these..for me these arent comparable to the lip bitters either. Bit for sure smell delicious and are really moisturizing. I am from Puerto Rico and we have all tje stuff thats on the states but kinda late..like 1 month later..i saw everything on youtube and on blogs and got desperate checking at the drugstores everytime i go for these stuff. I am waiting for the maybelline tattoo eyeshadows and the loreal infallible ones. Nice post allison!
ReplyDeleteIts available in my country but the packaging is slightly different and we dont have that kinda color! DAMN! :( That is so cute....
ReplyDeleteYES totally agree. i live in switzerland and everything is super expensive. but most of the products aren't even available.. sucks big time!
ReplyDeletein australia, they all all clear lip balms, and the packaging is more like a standard lip balm too, with a cap. wish they were the same as yours, but i still love them!
ReplyDeleteI love baby lips! I got Grape Vine & Cherry me.
ReplyDeleteThese just came to Canada a couple of months ago, but I already love them!
ReplyDeletehttp://thedailyswatch.blogspot.com
I have been eying these for a while. Which is your most worn shade?
ReplyDeleteOhhh I like this beauties.I don't know when I find them.
ReplyDeletehttp://darlyst.wordpress.com
I just recently got Cherry me and peppermint and I'm in love! They helped my lips a lot so far, they're not chapped anymore! I love the tint Cherry Me gives, perfect for class!!
ReplyDeleteI read on another beauty blog that the "Quenched" balm (in the blue and pink tub) is supposed to taste/smell like lemon basil. I never would have guessed it, but it makes sense. That was the first one I bought.
ReplyDeleteThe moisturizing effects of these lip balms don't last very long, and after several re-applications in a day, I found my lips getting flaky and peeling (I have somewhat full and dry lips). However, according to the advertisement in Cosmo, Baby Lips are supposed to make your lips smoother after a week or so of wear. After a few days of wear, I only had flakey lips on my bottom lip and very few. I found that my lips WERE smoother, even when I first woke up in the AM. I also found the Cherry color to be very pigmented and glossy
ReplyDeleteHmm strange... I looove the smell. But lemon basil makes sense.
ReplyDeletefrom your swatches, they don't look glossy or shiny at all like the revlon lip butters - which i like! cool, i think i might just have to pick up Peach Kiss.

These have a lighter, smoother feel on the lips than the Burt's Bees tinted lip balms. But I love them both! If you're a lip balm junkie, definitely try one of these out. Pink Punch is actually quite pigmented and fun :)
ReplyDeleteAgree... :/
ReplyDeleteGuest, you could order it from drugstore.com! :) I always order my stuff there. <3

I live in Russia. Tell me about it.... :(
ReplyDeleteOmg I'm obsessed with lipbalm and unfortunatly I cant find them here in France u_u
ReplyDeleteAgree, I live in egypt and I travel mostly to europe, I suffer makeup wise:(
ReplyDeleteI have "Pink Punch" and I absolutely love it! I use it as a stand alone lip color sometimes, and it's so opaque but glossy. It's very moisturizing, too!
ReplyDeletei bought one like right after i got my beauty budget this christmas. And carry it with me everywhere! i love it! if i dont wear it, my lips will get dry and i keep licking them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Peppermint
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these! I got Cherry Me, Pink Punch and Peach Kiss and I love all of them, especially Pink Punch, it's so pigmented! I live in the UK so I had to buy them on Ebay from a US seller so I paid a bit more but it was so worth it!
ReplyDeleteI love the cherry one!
ReplyDeleteWhat the HECK y'all are crazy...I would DIE to be able to come visit Europe...
