This shade, called Jalousie, is part of the new Roses Ultimes de Chanel collection that just recently hit counters. The release features six glossimers and three nail polishes in new limited edition shades. This color really stood out to me, and I love the name!
I would describe this as a hot raspberry shade. It's definitely in the pink family, but has a bright red undertone to it.
The swatch sold me on this one. As you can see, it is nearly opaque, which is something I love in a gloss. It packs enough color that I don't have to layer it over a lipstick to get a bright lip!
And as with all Chanel products, the packaging is lovely.
If this is the kind of shade that catches your eye, I really recommend it! It takes a lot for me to justify the price of a Chanel product (this Glossimer retails for $29.50), and this is only the second lip gloss I've ever purchased from the brand (2010's Bikini Peach was the first!). However, this is one of those shades that is hard to be disappointed with. I love the formulation (not too thick, not too thin), and it wears on the longer-end for a gloss.
Would you wear it?
xx, Allison

Gorgeous color! I'm not sure it would be worth the price tag to me though :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also trying to use up as many products as I can this year! Good luck !
ReplyDeleteI have too much Chanel, just bought a load of lip products last night too! :) xx
ReplyDeleteThis color is so bright and lovely! I really do like it :)
ReplyDeleteWow, so pigmented! I was wondering if you could make a post or video (when you have time of course, I know you're super busy!) about how to pull off bright lip colors? I have very light, blond coloring and I tend to look washed out. I'd love to venture into bright lips, though!

Very bright and pretty!
ReplyDeleteChanel glossimers don't disappoint. They have a wonderful formula and the tube doesn't "turn" quickly. This color is stunning Allison! Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteyou should do a video about all the products you used up and what you think about them! i think we all love those videos!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I was wondering how you got the word out about your blog (if you did) and how you got so many subscribers. It would be awesome if you checked out my blog!

Very creative and chic. Your style is great.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say a massive THANK YOU for putting that short clip of Jay Loftus - Buried Treasure at the end of your last video! I love discovering new artists through watching YouTube videos. He is AMAZING and has so many original songs, plus a beautiful voice. It would be great if you could give him more exposure, as he still only has 3,000 followers which I think is CRIMINAL!!! (I don't know him but I felt compelled to write this to you because I think he is so good!). I know you have thousands of subscribers so it was really generous of you to feature him! I love your videos!!! love from the UK xxxxx
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!!! And so girlicious...
ReplyDeleteis this color similar to the lollipop revlon lip butter? But i defiantly would love to try this!

ReplyDeleteI love Chanel glosses. My favorite is Nebula, but this is exactly what I have been looking for... a shocking hot pink! Will definitely be purchasing this week! Also, I noticed you did a Disco Biscuit review. I have and love that, too! It must be a pink year for me.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture and feel of Chanel glosses - this one is gorgeous! Why does Chanel make them so lovely? Oh yeah, so I can fall in love with them, buy them and go broke!
