Beauty Box: The Look Bag!

I wanted to share a beauty box service with you all, called The Look Bag. Lately I've felt like all of the beauty box subscriptions popping up everywhere are the same, but this one caught my eye because it offers products from natural and specialty brands. I know some of you are really cautious about ingredients and chemicals in your makeup, and thought you may be interested in this!

The Look Bag comes with-- you guessed it-- a bag full of various beauty products. I like that the packaging is cute, but not overdone. Makes it a little more eco-friendly!

One thing that caught my eye about this box right away is that it comes with several products of a decent size! As you can see, there is a lot of product in this bag.

The first items are some eye products from Cailyn (a brand I had never heard of!). I got a black gel liner and two beautiful mineral pigments (one shimmer, one glitter).

Next is a mini lip gloss from Franche in the color Ice Crystal. This shade is AMAZING. As you can see in the photo, it is about thirty different colors wrapped into one. It looks awesome on the lips!

I also received a small bottle of soap from Shea Terra Organics and squalane facial oil from Indie Lee.

The last two products are a brow highlighting pencil from Damone Roberts, and Shadow Shields (which I coincidentally reviewed a couple weeks ago!).

If you are someone who is looking for name brand deluxe samples in your beauty box, this service definitely isn't for you. However, if you are interested in less popular, more natural/specialty brands, I think you may like it! I've received a couple of these boxes now and they seem to be fairly consistent with good sample sizes (fingers crossed it stays that way!).

Have you found any beauty boxes that you love?
xx, Allison

  1. Wow! Some really nice products in that one. Here in Australia the beauty boxes have only just sort of started cropping up. I'm currently signed up to Glossybox, which I quite like. The Bobbi Brown mascara I received a few boxes ago was a definite highlight. Plus the Kosmea line of skincare they've been featuring is just lovely. That being said, I'm a little unhappy that I've received some haircare products for blonde hair exclusively despite the fact that it says I have red hair on my profile. And I know I'm not the only one that's faced this problem with the Aussie Glossybox. Hopefully we'll soon catch up with the standard of the American boxes though. It's early days.
