Nail of the Day: Revlon Buttercup

Attention blogging world: I HAVE A NEW FAVORITE SPRING NAIL POLISH! Meet Revlon's latest Colorstay nail polish formulation in Buttercup: a pastel, beautiful yellow that is-- wait for it-- OPAQUE. I have been waiting for years now to find a light yellow polish that doesn't require six coats and isn't extremely streaky, and I've finally found it.

natural light, 2 coats

This is the first shade from Revlon's new line that I've tried, and I'll definitely be going back for more. The formulation was really good (on the thicker side), and it wears really well! I had it on my nails for three days with no chipping (then I couldn't stand wearing the same polish for a fourth day so I took it off).

Additionally, this new range claims to have a "gel-like" finish, and it actually does! I'm so used to nail polish companies falsely claiming to have a glossy, gel quality to the polish that I didn't expect this one to actually have one. The photo below is completely dry, without a top coat. I cannot believe how glossy it actually is. If you are someone who hates using top coats, this polish is for you!

To sum it up, I'm in love. If you would like to hear me rave more about this polish, check out my new Spring Drugstore Haul video!

What is your favorite polish for spring?
xx, Allison
