NARS 413 BLKR Eyeshadow: Swatch & Review!

I'm a sucker for anything with limited edition packaging, so when I saw NARS release their exclusive 413 BLKR Collection online a few months ago, I lusted. I resisted for a while, telling myself I didn't need anything, but eventually cracked for the featured eyeshadow, 413 BLKR.
This is a beautiful lavender grey shade with a frost finish.  Many people have asked how this compares to the also-newly-released Lhasa from the Spring 2012 collection.  While the two look extremely similar online, they are definitely two different shadows.  Lhasa is much darker, and less silvery.  413 BLKR has an almost purple undertone, and is quite light.  For me, Lhasa would be a crease color, 413 BLKR is a lid color.

The pigmentation is similar to other NARS eyeshadows: smooth and vibrant.  No complaints here!  I cannot think of a dupe for this off the top of my head, but I will say it is (surprisingly) quite unique for my collection, as my silver/grey shadows seem to have more taupe (as opposed to lavender) undertones.  If you like silver/grey/purple eyeshadows, you would probably like it!

You can currently snag this eyeshadow for a whopping $24 online (ouch!), exclusively at NARScosmetics.com.  This is not sold in stores, or through any other NARS retailers.  However, if you live in NYC, you can also find this collection in the freestanding NARS store at-- you guessed it-- 413 Bleeker St.

Overall, if this is a color you think you would wear down to the pan, I don't think you'll be disappointed.  But if this isn't your style, I would save the money.  If you do want it though, act fast-- this is limited edition and will not be available forever!

xx, Allison
