Nail of the Day: OPI Your Web or Mine?

Today's NOTD is the last polish from the OPI Spiderman mini-set I purchased. Your Web or Mine? is a frosty, medium rose color, and while I usually stay away from frosty, medium pinks, I quite like this one!  It's a nice change from all of the nudes/blues/greys I've been wearing recently, and the formulation was really great.

natural light, 2 coats

There are a billion frosty rose nail polishes out there, so if you miss out on this one, don't worry about finding something similar in the future.  The color isn't really new or unique.  However, I think this would be a nice color to wear on your toes to a wedding or something; it's feminine and elegant.  The name is great too!

My MAC Eyeshadow Palettes: Neutrals Palette!

I've gotten some requests to do overview posts of my MAC palettes, so I'm starting today with my neutral eyeshadows palette!  This is one of my most loved sets of eyeshadows because I incorporate neutral shades into every look I wear.

Nail of the Day: OPI Into The Night

Today's NOTD is another polish from the new OPI Spiderman collection, called Into The Night.  This is an almost-navy metallic blue with a violet duochrome to it.  I like this because of the purple tone it has, it looks pretty cool on the nails.  I received several compliments on this color while wearing it!

natural light, 3 coats

The formulation on this was pretty easy to work with, however it was just a touch sheer.  I really needed a third coat to make sure every nail was opaque.  As far as deep blue nail colors go, I don't think this is a revolutionary shade, but it is fun and looks great paired with an edgy outfit (I chose all black, with silver accessories and a smoky eye!).

Today's featured product is a blush I've been loving lately, NYX Peach.  This is a light, matte peachy pink that I've found to be a perfect everyday blush color!

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation: Review & Photos!

I cracked and bought Revlon's new foundation. I tried to resist and failed.  The original Revlon Colorstay is one of my favorite foundations, so how am I supposed to react when they come out with a new fancy whipped version in a jar?  With a 40% Off sign next to it at Rite Aid?  The Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme foundation claims to be buildable to full coverage with a matte finish and 24-hour wear.  Once again, I find the whole 24-hour wearability to be a little excessive, but I digress.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains: Review & Swatches!

Today's featured products are another one of Revlon's new releases, the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.  I never tried the original Just Bitten lip stains, but the idea of a balm/stick form appeals to me more, so I picked some of these up.  They remind me of the Tarte Lipsurgence balm stains or the new Clinique Chubby Sticks.

Rimmel Eyeshadow Quad in Smoky Brun: Review & Swatches!

Today's post features the Rimmel London's eyeshadow quad in Smoky Brun.  This product features a neutral color scheme of frosty colors, and it caught my eye in store as something that would make a great everyday eyeshadow combination.

Nail of the Day: OPI Number One Nemesis

Today's NOTD is Number One Nemesis from the new OPI Spiderman collection.  This is a warm charcoal grey with large shimmer particles.  It has a slight hint of gold to it as well.  I wouldn't call this one a glitter, but it does have very chunky microshimmer.  The formulation was extremely easy to work with, and it took between 2 and 3 coats for full opacity (some nails needed a third coat).

natural light, 2-3 coats

I've heard this is very similar to Chanel's Graphite nail polish, but have not seen the comparison myself.  Other than that, I can't think of any dupes off the top of my head.

OPI polishes run around $9 a bottle, but I got the Spiderman mini-set, featuring 4 baby bottles from the collection for $12.  You should be able to find these almost anywhere OPI is sold!

Revlon Colorstay Smoky Shadow Sticks: Review & Swatches!

Once again, Revlon has leased an entire line of brand new products, among which are the new Colorstay Smoky Shadow Sticks.  While I was yet to have a Revlon product really fail me, I was also yet to find a drugstore brand shadow stick that actually is what it claims to be: smudgeproof, crease-proof, and long lasting (I'm looking at you, CoverGirl Shadow Blast sticks).

NYC Eyeshadow Duo in Brighton Peach: Review & Swatches!

Today's featured product is Brighton Peach, an eyeshadow duo from NYC's City Sweets spring collection. I saw this on a display in Rite Aid recently and thought the colors looked beautiful. For less than $3, I was willing to give it a shot!

Nail of the Day: Essie Bikini So Teeny

Today's NOTD is a polish from Essie's Summer 2012 collection called Bikini So Teeny. Yeah, the name of this polish alone is adorable. I would describe Bikini So Teeny has a true periwinkle: blue with a hint of purple. When looking closely at the bottle, you can see a very subtle silver shimmer in the polish, but once painted, it is virtually non-existent.

The formulation on this was really good, two coats was plenty for full opacity.  I just love how this is a touch different from all of the other light blues companies have released lately.  As far as dupes, I don't know one off the top of my head (I know China Glaze has a periwinkle polish though).  The closest Essie comparison I could think of is Lapis of Luxury (from Resort 2010), but that is much more blue and a little darker.

I found this polish at my local Rite Aid for $8.  It can also be found at Ulta, Nordstrom, and independent retailers.

MAC Cleanse Off Oil: Review & Demo!

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite makeup removers, the MAC Cleanse Off Oil.  This is an oil based liquid that can be applied to the face to dissolve makeup and remove it.  I used to be someone who used makeup wipes or an eye makeup remover to help get my makeup off at night, but ever since I've started using this, I will never go back!  This product comes in a clear bottle with a pump dispenser, and is really easy to use.

MAC Hey, Sailor! To The Beach Body Oil in Seaside: Review & Swatches!

Today's featured product is the last item I grabbed from the MAC Hey, Sailor! Collection. This is the To The Beach Body Oil in Seaside, a ultra-shimmer body oil meant to give the skin a glistening sheen. MAC first released this formula (but not this shade) with the To The Beach collection two years ago, and I've always assumed it would be a really messy product.  The idea of a body oil with sparkle sounds disastrous.  However, when I was at the MAC counter recently, I decided to try it out in store.
