One thing I love about this line of NYX powder blushes is the packaging. The black plastic casing isn't anything fancy, but I like the quilted design in the powder. I feel like whenever a product has a design in it, I instantly like it a little bit more!
The formulation of Nutmeg is very similar to other NYX blushes. The pigmentation is great and the overall texture is really easy to work with. I find that I get average wear from NYX powder blushes (~8 hours). I mentioned that this reminded me of MAC Gingerly above, but after comparing the two, I found Gingerly is a couple of shades darker, and a little more orange, if that makes sense!
NYX blushes contain .18 oz/5.2g of powder and retail for roughly $6 each (unless you score a sale!). I think this is a pretty good price for the amount of product you get, considering the quality. For reference, MAC blushes contain 6g of powder and retail for $20!
If you have a fair to light complexion, I recommend Nutmeg as a good pinky brown blush. I don't see this showing up on medium or dark complexions, as the blush is already so close to the color of skin that it would probably camouflage a little too well!
Do you like wearing brown blushes?
xx, Allison

I cant say I've ever worn a brown toned blush before I've always gone for pink, eg nars orgasm although you have intrigued me might have to check one out xo
ReplyDeleteCould this be similar to Nars Doucer? I've had my eye on it for a while and would love a cheaper dupe. I think the brown toned blush would be nice for the fall. (I'm also really fair.)
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to change my blush colour as I'm addicted to mac's well dressed so I've never really owned a brown blush:)
