MAC Ladyblush Cream Blush: Review + Swatch!

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite cream blushes with you, MAC Ladyblush.  MAC describes this as a warm, neutral coral color, and I love it because it is very natural looking blush.

Nail of the Day: Butter London Toff

Today's Nail of the Day is one of the shades I grabbed during Ulta's recent "Buy One, Get One Free" Butter London sale.  Toff is a medium dusty purple cream, and it caught my eye because it seemed like a great color for fall that was a little more subdued than all of the vampy purples I've seen.  I really like the grey tone this has to it as well, it makes it a little more sophisticated looking.

natural light, 2 coats

The more I use Butter London polishes, the more I love them.  The formulation of Toff was perfect!  One thing I noticed while painting this (that I hadn't consciously realized before), is I love the Butter London polish brushes.  They are a little longer than most brands, and a little thinner, but so easy to work with.

Are you picky when it comes to nail polish brushes?

Benefit Perk Up Artist Complexion Corrector: Review + Swatches!

One of Benefit's newest products is the Perk Up Artist Complexion Corrector: a three shade correcting concealer palette that is meant to brighten, correct, and cover areas of the skin.  This kit also comes with a dual ended concealer brush.

Nail of the Day: Revlon Velvet Rope

Today's nail polish is Revlon Velvet Rope, from their Colorstay polish line (one of my favorites!).  Velvet Rope is a dark classic red cream.  This color is especially great for fall and winter, but is something you could definitely wear year round if you like wearing red in all seasons.  While this color isn't exactly new or unique, the formulation of the Colorstay polishes is what drew me to getting it.

natural light, 2 coats

The formulation of this was a tad bit runnier than other Colorstay polishes I've used, but overall still easy to work with.  This was opaque in two coats.

Do you like wearing reds like this one?

Nail of the Day: Essie Bahama Mama

Let's be real here, you probably aren't reading this because you can't peel your eyes off of the gorgeousness below.  Essie Bahama Mama is one of the newer additions to my polish collection, and I cannot get over how beautiful it is.  I picked this up after seeing several other bloggers/YouTubers talk about it, and I'm so glad I did!  Bahama Mama is a deep berry-red-plum cream that is the epitome of a fall nail polish.

natural light, 2 coats

The formulation of this was really great, two coats was plenty, and the consistency was smooth.  Prepare to see this one on my nails forever.  This may be the fall edition of Revlon Pale Cashmere for me!

Are you in love with any nail colors right now?

MAC Tenderling Blush: Review + Swatch!

Today I want to share one of my most loved blushes with you.  MAC Tenderling is a light, nude/brown pink with a sheertone finish.  This is one of the first blush shades I ever wore, because it was subtle enough to allow me to get used to the idea of wearing blush without having too much color on my cheeks.

Tarte Glamazon 12-Hour Lipsticks: Review + Swatches!

Tarte has released their new Glamazon Pure Performance 12-Hour Lipsticks for Fall 2012.  I've been really curious about this launch, because these lipsticks contain the Tarte Amazonian Clay ingredient, and the Amazonian Clay blushes are some of the best I've used.  I wondered if the Glamazon lipsticks would have similar long-wearing properties.

Nail of the Day: OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!

Today's Nail of the Day is another shade from the OPI Germany Collection.  "Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine!" is a dark grey toned green cream.  You don't see a lot of grey-greens out there, and I'm still warming up to this one.  I don't hate it, but it isn't one of those colors I'm blown away by.  I think some people will love this, but it is only just okay for me.

natural light, 2 coats

The formulation was really great, and two coats was enough for full opacity.  As far as the quality goes, I would definitely recommend this polish!  I get the inkling that this one is going to grow on me shade-wise too.

What do you think of this shade?  Yay or nay?

LUSH Ro's Argan Body Conditioner: Photos + Review!

I've been a little out of luck when it comes to trying new LUSH products lately (as you probably read in my last few reviews), but I am thrilled to be back today with a product that actually worked well for me!  Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is a cream meant for applying in the shower, then rinsing off.  The entire idea sounds a bit backward to me... why would you apply your lotion then let water wash it off?

NYX Blush in Raisin: Review + Swatch!

One of my favorite products from NYX is their blush.  I find that it is good quality, affordable, and I love the quilted design in the powder.  Today I wanted to share NYX Raisin blush with you, a dusty plum color.

MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot: Review + Swatch!

I recently started using MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot for the first time.  This product is part of their permanent collection, and I've heard people talk about it for years, but I've always been drawn Painterly Paint Pot over this one for a creamy nude color.  A couple of months ago I decided to switch things up and give this shade a try!

Handbag Haul: Tory Burch City Satchel + more!

I'm not someone who is constantly switching out handbags and grabbing the latest styles, but every once in a while I get the handbag-switch-itch and like to try something new.  When I visited the Tory Burch store a couple of weeks ago, they were offering 30% off of anything and everything in the entire store, if you spent over a certain amount.  It's a rare opportunity to get current season Tory Burch products at such a great discount, so I decided to go ahead and have a little fun!

Nail of the Day: OPI Suzi & the 7 Düsseldorfs

Today's Nail of the Day is another polish from OPI's Germany collection for Fall 2012.  Suzi & the 7 Düsseldorfs is a jewel-toned royal purple with microshimmer in it.  The color is gorgeous, but honestly didn't really catch my eye at first.  In fact, the only reason I ended up acquiring it is because it was part of this collection's mini-set, which contained other colors I wanted.  However, once on my nails, I realized I underestimated it in the bottle... it's beautiful!

natural light, 2 coats

The formulation on this was great, I have no complaints.  This isn't exactly a new or unique color, but it is very eye-catching on the nails.  If you are a fan of purples (and don't already have something similar), you will probably really like this!  I think it will be going on my toes next! :)

Would you wear it?

LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar: Photos + Review!

As summer starts to taper off, I've begun to take more bubble baths, and one of the products I've been using recently is the LUSH French Kiss Bubble Bar.  This candy kiss shaped creation smells of lavender, rosemary and thyme, and is meant to produce fragrant bubbles when run under hot water.

I love the fragrance of this, it smells exactly like something that would be in a spa.  Unfortunately, this didn't produce a very high volume of bubbles.  I ended up using the entire bar in one bath, and there still weren't enough bubbles to cover the entire surface of the water.

If you are someone who likes a lot of bubbles, or to get multiple uses out of one LUSH bar, I would skip this one.  I find that other Bubble Bars from LUSH are potent enough for 2-3 baths, so this is definitely sub-par.  However, the fragrance was fantastic, so if you don't mind low bubblage (new word for Webster!), it may be right up your alley!

This bar retails for $8.95 and can be purchased wherever LUSH is sold in the US (not sure of availability in LUSH overseas).

Do you like bubbles in your bath?

L'Oreal Infallible 24-Hour Eyeshadows Part 1: Neutrals!

A few weeks ago,  I did a blog post on the L'Oreal Infallible 24-Hour Eyeshadow in Iced Latte.  I've since acquired quite the stash of these shadows, so I realized blogging them in sets may be a little more efficient than doing each one individually.  Today I have three light neutral shades to share with you!

Endless Pearl, Iced Latte, Eternal Sunshine

First up is Endless Pearl, a light neutral cream color.  Oddly, this shade is entirely matte, even though its name suggests it would have a sheen.

NARS Laguna Bronzer: Review + Swatch!

Today's featured product is the oh-so-famous NARS Laguna bronzer.  "I've never heard of it," said no one ever.  I know this is raved about excessively in the beauty blogosphere, but it really is an amazing product.  I re-stocked my stash with a new one recently, so I thought I'd snap some photos and do a proper review.

NEW! Maybelline Olive Martini Eyeshadow Quad: Review + Swatches!

After a little searching, I managed to get my hands on the new Maybelline Olive Martini Eyeshadow Quad from their Fall Scene on the Runway collection.  When I first came across their new quads, this was the only shade sold out, so I figured whatever it is, it must have been good.  I decided to keep an eye out for it, and eventually found it at one of my local Rite Aid stores.

Nail of the Day: OPI Berlin There Done That

Today's NOTD is another color from the new OPI Germany collection, Berlin There Done That.  This is a medium grey creme with a hint of brown to it.  It reminds me of a mix between Essie Chinchilly (which is lighter and more grey) and OPI You Don't Know Jacques (darker and more brown).  I love the name of this one!

natural light, 2 coats

The formulation of Berlin There Done That is outstanding.  It is smooth, opaque, and was generally really easy to apply.  This is another one of those great neutral colors I'll be reaching for year round!

Have you gotten any polishes from this collection?
