NYX Blush in Raisin: Review + Swatch!

One of my favorite products from NYX is their blush.  I find that it is good quality, affordable, and I love the quilted design in the powder.  Today I wanted to share NYX Raisin blush with you, a dusty plum color.

Raisin has a matte finish.  I think this color is a really nice alternative to the dusty pinks we see everywhere, and is a really unique addition to my collection.  I like this for when I want something still fairly neutral, but on the cooler side!

The formulation of Raisin is similar to other NYX blushes: the pigmentation is great and the overall texture is really easy to work with.  I find that I get average wear from NYX powder blushes (~8 hours).  I think this shade would work best on light to medium complexions!

NYX blushes contain .18 oz/5.2g of powder and retail for roughly $6 each (unless you score a sale!).  I think this is a pretty good price for the amount of product you get, considering the quality.  For reference, MAC blushes contain 6g of powder and retail for $20!

Overall, I recommend it!  What do you think of the color?  Is it something you would wear?
xx, Allison

  2. I've never worn a color like that, looks tough to pull off. Could you maybe use it in a tutorial? Just to see how you would wear it.
