City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala: A Glam Night Out!

Hi everyone!  I wanted share some photos from an exciting night out I recently had at the City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala here in Los Angeles.  I got to get all dolled up (click here to watch my getting ready video!), and the party was so fun!

My dress was from Nordstrom, I absolutely loved it!  Classic black with mesh paneling at the top.

For makeup I did a fairly neutral eye with some false lashes and a pink lip.  I curled my hair into loose curls!

My bracelet is from Kate Spade... I'm in love with this.  It went perfectly with the dress!  Bag is by She & Josh, which was perfectly dressy while still being able to carry my DSLR camera in it (beauty blogger problems).

I LOVE the heels I bought for this event.  I found them at Bloomingdales from Ivanka Trump's line.  With my black dress, I wanted to add a dose of seasonal color to the outfit, and these deep berry red stilettos were just what I was looking for.  I matched my nail polish with Essie's Bahama Mama!  Additionally, these heels were so comfortable... no blisters whatsoever!

One of the exciting parts about the event was Britney Spears attending it as well.  13-year-old me basically thought it was the coolest thing ever ;) Britney looked stunning in a dress from Halston!

The party itself was 70s themed: disco balls, groovy music, and dancers on roller skates.  I felt like I had stepped into a scene from Austin Powers Goldmember!

The night was filled with musical performances from Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Jessica Sanchez, The Pointer Sisters, and more!  It was a lot of fun seeing everyone perform, especially in such a small venue where the stage was so close.

You can never go wrong with neon lights and fog machines.

We had a VIP booth up in the balcony with champagne, so fun!  Especially considering the table itself was constantly changing through a rainbow of colors.  These party planners didn't miss a detail!

One of the coolest things at the party was a gallery of original Andy Warhol paintings they brought in.  I had no idea it was there until I showed up, what a pleasant surprise!!

Last, but not least, here I am with the girls, Nikki and Rachel, right as we got to the event.  Had so much fun with these two!  (Totally stole this photo from Nikki's blog... shhhh!)
