NARS Blush in Sin: Review + Swatch!

HAPPY NOVEMBER!  November 1st is one of my favorite days of the year because I begin feeling justified listening to Pandora's Christmas station!  Speaking of the holiday season, one of my favorite fall/winter blushes is NARS Sin, a shimmering plum with a gold sheen.

Sin is a great holiday blush because it adds a nice berry flush to the skin without being too bright.  The subtle gold sheen to it gives the cheeks a nice holiday glow, too!

Like most of the other NARS blushes, Sin has a perfect level of pigmentation and blendability.  I also like that the gold sheen stays nicely on the skin (often times anything sparkly falls away after application).  As you can see below, this looks much less brown on my skin than in the pan.  Definitely swatch this one before buying!

NARS blushes come in rubberized black compact casing.  I love the design of these compacts: there is a good product-to-casing ratio (as in, not an enormous case with a tiny little pot of product in it).  Additionally, a full-size lid mirror is in each compact.  The downside of these is that the rubberized finish attracts every fingerprint and fleck of makeup.  They get dirty very quickly.

NARS blushes retail for $28 (0.16 oz/ 4.8 g) and can be purchased wherever NARS cosmetics are sold.

Overall, I think Sin is a great product if you are looking for something on the cooler side with a little shimmer to it.  The nice thing about this color is it works on a wide variety of complexions, as it can be sheered out or built up quite well.

What is your favorite fall/winter blush?
xx, Allison
