Fab Find: Shadow Shields!

Have you ever come across a product and thought, "Why didn't I think to invent that?" That product for me is Shadow Shields. I think we've all done the whole tape-under-the-eyes to prevent eyeshadow fallout, so I wanted to share these with you all, as they are made to put under the eyes to catch eyeshadow fallout!

Nail of the Day: Deborah Lippmann "Between The Sheets"

I'm back with another NOTD from my recent Spring Nail Polish Haul, and today's featured polish is Deborah Lippmann's "Between The Sheets". This is a fuchsia cream color with a really nice formulation. I didn't have any problems applying this one, and it was entirely opaque in two coats! I also love the semi-scandalous name... it's funny how names can make a product more fun!

natural light, 2 coats

This is the first cream Deborah Lippmann polish I've owned (everything else has been a glitter or frost of sorts), and I'm really happy with it.

Do you like wearing fuchsia colors on your nails?

Nail of the Day: China Glaze "Smoke and Ashes"

Today's NOTD is a polish from the new China Glaze Hunger Games collection! Smoke and Ashes has a black base with blue and green microshimmer in it. I am not normally a fan of black-base nail polishes, but when I swatched this one, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was! Unfortunately, it is borderline impossible to capture on camera, so I'm posting several different photos hoping you can get a slight idea of what it actually looks like!

Make sure to look at both the nails and the bottle in these photos... in a few of them, the bottle is more telling of what the color looks like.

Nail of the Day: Butter London Trout Pout

Today's NOTD is another polish from the Butter London Spring 2012 line, called Trout Pout. I was so impressed with the formulation of Disco Biscuit, I decided to pick up a few more Butter London polishes, and this shade really caught my eye. It is a salmon pink creme that is absolutely gorgeous, and perfect for spring!

natural light, 2 coats

Now as far as dupes go, it's no surprise I love this polish so much: it is almost an exact dupe for Essie's Cute as a Button. So considering Butter London polishes retail for $14 and Essie polishes retail for $8, I would go with Cute as a Button if you don't have a brand preference.

Would you wear it?
