LUSH Roots Hair Treatment: Review + Photos

Deep hair treatments are some of my favorite products to use, and today I have one to share with you!  I've been using the Roots Hair Treatment from LUSH for the first time recently, and I'm really happy with it so far.  This treatment contains mint infusion and olive oil, and is meant to be applied from the roots of the hair to the ends to give lifeless hair some body and moisture.

I really like the texture of Roots.  Unlike other LUSH conditioners I've tried, this one has a really thick consistency.  It feels like a heavy whipped cream (not runny at all), which makes it super easy to apply.  I'll apply this on my hair, wait 15 minutes, then shampoo out and condition as normal.  Roots is the perfect level of moisturizing for me, considering I can actually put this on my roots without leaving them greasy... usually I avoid my roots when using deep treatments.  My hair is left shiny and soft, but not weighed down.  I have fine hair, so if you have coarser or dryer hair, you may want to opt for a heavier treatment.

The scent of this is minty thanks to the mint infusion, which I like.  It reminds me of my Brocato Peppermint Scrub shampoo (the clarifying shampoo I use).  My only complaint with this treatment, which seems to be my complaint with most treatments, is I end up using a lot of product on my hair in one application.  My hair is pretty long and thick, so this is to be expected, it just bums me out when a jar of deep conditioner only lasts for 5-6 uses (as I'm predicting this one will at the rate I'm using it).

LUSH Roots retails for $19.95 and can be purchased in LUSH stores, select Macy's, and LUSH online.  I think the price is reasonable for this product, considering it contains 8.4 oz of product, and most salon brand deep conditioners at that size would be twice the price.  If you have fine hair and are looking for a nice hair boost, I recommend this one!

What is your favorite deep conditioner?
xx, Allison
