The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish: Review

The body scrub in my shower these days is The Body Shop's Strawberry Body Polish.  I spotted this while in their store recently, and thought it might make the perfect summer body scrub.

When you look closely in bottle, you can see this scrub isn't very dense.  It is more of a body wash with a light, sparse microscrub in it (as well as some strawberry seeds).  The fragrance is really wonderful, it smells like fresh made strawberry jam!

I've been enjoying using this exfoliant a couple times a week.  It is one of the "lightest" scrubs I have used, so it is fairly gentle on my skin and I can get away with using it more often.  This product lathers a little bit too, so you could use it as a body wash if you wanted (though I would avoid certain areas...)!

If you are looking for a light exfoliant, I recommend this one!

The Strawberry Body Polish retails for $20 and can be purchased at The Body Shop!

What is your favorite summer exfoliant?

Bobbi Brown Beach Perfume + Body Lotion: A Perfect Summer Fragrance!

While checking out some new summer collections, I stumbled across the Bobbi Brown Nude Beach collection that is currently promoting their Beach fragrance.  I had never heard of it before, but the idea of a "beach" fragrance sparked my interest.  The instant I smelled it, I knew I had to have it.

LUSH Yuzu + Cocoa Bubbleroon: Photo + Review!

I've used the LUSH Bubble Bars for years, but it wasn't until this last summer that I decided to try one of their Bubbleroons.  The product has a warm chocolate-like fragrance.  It is soothing without being too sweet or food-ish.

"A cunningly bright and uplifting treat disguised in a rich warm fragrance of cocoa absolute and tonka.  Let the light grapefruit and bergamot oils lift your mind, whilst the cocoa and tona bring warmth and comfort to the heart."

Shaped like a round macaroon, I loved that this product was easy to pull apart into two halves, given the division in the middle.  It was hassle-free.  It produced a moderate amount of bubbles and the scent was great.  However, I am starting to find that if you want high fragrance and high "bubblage", it is hard to beat good ol' fashioned liquid bubble bath.  I usually like super bubbly baths, and this did not achieve that for me.  If you like moderate bubbles, this is great.  It's really just a matter of preference.

Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon retails for $6.25 and can be purchased wherever Lush products are sold.  I think it's a little overpriced, but I did enjoy the product... just wish I could get more uses out of it for the price!

LUSH Honey I Washed The Kids Soap: Photos + Review!

Today I wanted to share one of my all time favorite soaps with you all: LUSH Honey I Washed The Kids.  This is one of the first products I purchased on my very first trip to LUSH years ago, and it has been something I always love restocking my bathroom with from time to time.

LUSH MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt: Photos + Review!

I like taking extremely hot baths, which can be very drying on my skin, so I love using LUSH Bath Melts to help add a little moisture while I'm in the tub.  Bath melts begin to-- you guessed it-- melt when put in hot water, and turn into a lotion-like block that you can rub over your skin, or simply melt into the water to make it a little more hydrating.  The bath melt I wanted to share in this post is MMM Melting Marshmallow Moment.

LUSH Ro's Argan Body Conditioner: Photos + Review!

I've been a little out of luck when it comes to trying new LUSH products lately (as you probably read in my last few reviews), but I am thrilled to be back today with a product that actually worked well for me!  Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is a cream meant for applying in the shower, then rinsing off.  The entire idea sounds a bit backward to me... why would you apply your lotion then let water wash it off?

Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion: Review + Giveaway!

Today's featured product is a body lotion I've been using for the past few weeks, the Vaseline Total Moisture Lotion.  I believe this product has been around for a while, but Vaseline recently reformulated both the formula and packaging.

The new formula is supposed to be thicker and more hydrating.  I'm very picky with my body lotions, and one of the biggest issues I find is lotions that are really moisturizing tend to leave a residue on my skin.  Even with some of my most loved body lotions, I have to wash my hands after application because I hate the sticky feeling on my palms.  This isn't the case with this product.

Vaseline Total Moisture is white, and has a very subtle fragrance.  Below is about 30 seconds after I've rubbed it into the top of my hand.  As you can see, my hand doesn't look greasy or anything.  This really does have that "clean" effect on the skin.

I don't peruse the drugstore lotion aisle often, and probably never would have discovered this product without receiving a sample a few weeks ago.  Often times when I receive a sample, it falls flat for me.  This is the opposite!

If you are looking for an all around moisturizer that is good for the skin without breaking the bank, I really recommend this.  I've seen it in stores for between $3-4 for a 10 oz bottle.

Last, but not least, if you are interested in trying out Vaseline Total Moisture, check out my recent beauty video below, on which I'm giving out some free bottles! :)

MAC Hey, Sailor! To The Beach Body Oil in Seaside: Review & Swatches!

Today's featured product is the last item I grabbed from the MAC Hey, Sailor! Collection. This is the To The Beach Body Oil in Seaside, a ultra-shimmer body oil meant to give the skin a glistening sheen. MAC first released this formula (but not this shade) with the To The Beach collection two years ago, and I've always assumed it would be a really messy product.  The idea of a body oil with sparkle sounds disastrous.  However, when I was at the MAC counter recently, I decided to try it out in store.
